My daughter went to this daycare from the time she was 18 months old until she was almost 5 years old. The owners of this center are great people and treat all the children in their care like family. One of the owners of the center is bilingual and speaks both Spanish and English. My daughter was completely bilingual during her years there. She enjoyed the structured daycare activites and much time playing outside. The other reviewer mentioned bumps and bruises. My is 8 years old now and has had her share of bumps and bruises that she has incurred at daycare, school and home. My daugther came home with no more bumps and bruises at this daycare than my son did at the daycare he went to. I value time outdoors spent playing and exploring and my daughter received plenty of outdoor time there. In fact, it was often hard to convince her to stop playing and come home each night. She loved her daycare and her friends that much. It has been 31/2 years now since my daughter left this daycare to go to school and she still asks to go and visit.
I looked for my child’s care. I was very unsure about the use of English. I got little English from owner? I wasn’t sure about workers or lack there of. All children were sleeping and seemed to be drown out by loud music playing while nothing was being done at the time.
First of all, my child came here and I trusted them. One day I came early and I noticed the owner (Pati) wasn’t around at all- and I looked around when all of the children were asleep- there actually was nobody around. So there were about 9 children (above the legal limit) and nobody supervising the children at all. Once I found this out, after paying so much money I will tell all friends and family that this place is not safe for my child.
In response to the comment by Anonymous, I would like to say as the owner and care provider for more than 10 years, I find your comment deceitful and misguiding. I’m sorry that you never approached me to communicate your concerns about our practice. I'm proud to be surrounded by parents who are happy with our daycare; our references are evidence of this. My husband or I are ALWAYS present looking after the children; we are both certified daycare providers. We have a certified helper as well looking after the children. At our home daycare, we believe in the power of play for learning, so children use the playground every day and sometimes while playing, they fall and get bumps and bruises. We provide a safe environment and try to avoid accidents, but if they happen we find that such accidents part of the learning process.
All I really have to say is every time I was there,l without notice the owners were never there. My kids were treated poorly and always came home with bruises and more bumps. My older child told me the things the owner said to my children. Instead of doing her job (the owner) it seemed like anyone working there did every single thing there. Seems like I will never be taking my children back!
