I have used this provider for more than 6 months
This daycare is amazing! My children go there and have been treated fairly. As a parent I know my children can sometimes get out of hand but they have handled them accordingly and for that I am thankful. I also have a child that goes to that is bused to and from school in the area and that is also a plus for my family. The new owner and director are great and friendly when I have spoken to them. Highly recommend!
The boss, Kiesha, actually listens and wants our opinions and cares about our well-being. She doesn’t put up with bad behavior, either. Most of the coworkers are great, but some of them have been awful and it’s hard to make friends here.
When Mrs. Sheila was there and before it changed ownership, this was the best in Clarksville. Now with the new ownership and particularly the front office staff, it is by far the worst. My oldest child went to Golden Apple as a toddler and then my youngest went there, so for the last six years we have trusted them. I haven't seen the new owner but a handful of times and the desk person is awful to say the least. Especially for a single parent. They are biased, uneducated and over crowded now. It is has become more about the adults than the kids and shameful against what Mrs. Sheila and her family created. Which was an unbiased, loving, education based program. So very disappointed. Take your child elsewhere.
Golden Apple not only is a great daycare but is a CLEAN place. Everything is sprayed with disinfectant, bleach water, and Lysol everyday. The carpets are vacuumed and the floors are mopped. EVERY NIGHT. Ringworm was not contracted from our daycare as this other person said. If it was true then the other infants would have gotten it....NO ONE DID! And I know because I'm one of the infant teachers. Our doors are always open to everybody and we are one of the top in Clarksville. I'm not saying this just because I work here...I'm saying it because it's true! We aren't a 3 star facility for nothing!
After looking at three different daycare, we settled on The Golden Apple Preschool" (He no longer comes here). He ended up getting ringworm from this daycare when he was just five months old. I thought it was just a rash at first, but after verifying with his pediatrician that it is indeed a ringworm we were given a prescription ointment. It took us months to try and cure it (it kept coming back on the same spot). I was SO SCARED that it will spread on other parts of his body. If you're not familiar with ringworm, it's EXTREMELY itchy and highly contagious! I felt so sorry for my son to have to experience this at such a young age!
