I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My daughter is 13 months old and has been at daycare with Connie and Stu for around 10 months. They have done a fantastic job. I'm uncertain about the 1 start review by Sarah C and I suspect there is more to the story. as a recent new parent myself, I can understand having high expectations but this is regulated industry. There have been times I thought something was safe and talked to Connie and Stu about it and they explained to me how it was not and why it was not. This is information I found invaluable. It's easy as a new parent to get caught up in what I think is right and save, but really, I have very limited experience. I have to rely on the experts.

Connie and Stu have been fantastic. Our daughter LOVES going to daycare with them. She gets so excited in the car on the way there. I would easily say giddy. She is well entertained throughout the day and when I pick her up she is nothing but smiles and giggles. Their house is designed with babies in mind. You walk in and their entire living room is a safe playroom, more toys than I want to think of. There is a little play slide/house, gates so the kids can't venture off, and supervision. Every time I have stopped by both Connie and Stu have been attentive to the kids. This is a daycare but it might as well be an educational playcare. Our daughter is an only child and she is getting great socializing skills from the other kids.

The upstairs does have the bedrooms for the kids to sleep in. Before we picked Connie and Stu, we did a walkthrough of their house and found it to be entirely safe. The upstairs bedrooms have proper cribs for those that need them. The older kids get the appropriate beds. The rooms were safe and clean.

Connie and Stu have both been in the daycare industry for over 30 years and my fiancé and I have picked up several helpful tips and tricks from their experience. I've also talked to several other parents during pick up and drop off. conversations from "hows the weather" to "what do you think of this daycare?" and everyone has been pleased. There have not been any concerns on my end or Theirs.

They do have a nice fenced in back yard where the kids play in the summer. Before my daughter could walk or crawl, I would come pick her up and find her outside (with Connie and Stu) watching the kids play around her. She was either on one of their laps, giggling and taking in her surroundings or she would be in her car seat. I am perfectly fine if my daughter is outside, with supervision, in a car seat. She was either having the best nap of her life or watching all the big kids play. Often they would approach her and safely interact with her. She loved being outside. The entire world is new and constant source of stimulus.

Connie and Stu have done a fantastic job with our daughter. My fiancé and I are mid 30's, have demanding careers, and high expectations. Our choice was a center or a daycare with two people who have been watching babies for about as long as I've been alive. Significantly more affordable as well. Their experience has been invaluable.

My only frustration is that they have an age limit, if we could keep our daughter here for the next several years, we would! I strongly recommend Connie and Stu and would give more than 5 stars if able.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Long review, but worth the read!
Unfortunately, My husband and I had a very disappointing experience with Connie and Stu. We had our not even 3 month old daughter in their in-home daycare for only two days before we never wanted her to go back. We initially were very excited as we spoke to many references who loved them but during pick ups we saw how our daughter was being cared for and realized not only was this an environment that wasn’t meeting her basic needs but it was also not an environment that cared about her developmental growth. Each pick up we noticed they were not physically playing with the toddlers, they were only watching them and even doing crossword puzzles. They also had my daughter just sitting in her car seat outside and fussing and giving her no stimulation. (there’s no reason for her to be in her car seat when they had no idea I was on my way to get her)... Then day two my husband dropped by midday in hopes to get a better feel for the place. This is where we were concerned for her basic cares. Our daughter was upstairs in her crib, awake and alone, with zero monitor. And she was SOAKED in sweat.. meaning she must have been crying for a long time and sweating from it.. She’s not even three months old!!!! You can’t just put a newborn down in a new environment and have her cry it out and sweating from the stress!! Not only that but she didn’t even care to mention it when she went up and got her. My husband noticed 5 min later when he got home and picked her up. Without even having a next daycare set up we pulled her and wouldn’t trust them watching her again. We honestly felt they didn’t care about our wishes for her (like using a sound machine and pacifier during her naps) and just were trying to mold her into whatever they needed to fit their schedule without even giving themselves time to learn about her and make a slow adjustment. If you care for your baby’s physical well-being and for the developmental growth you will find another place to watch them.
