About the Provider

Description: Delaware Futures Bayard Middle Academy is a College and Career Readiness program that provides Remediation, Academic Enrichment, College and Career enrichment, and Mentoring for 6, 7, and 8th graders.

Our remediation activities are led by certified tutors in the subjects English and Math for students that tested 2 or more grade levels below standard. These students work on Math and English skills three times a week.

We have several enrichment activities for students that tested at or above their grade level.

First is Science Enrichment led by a team of youth educators. These students work on Science and 21 century skills three times a week.

Second is College and Career enrichment designed by an AVID and Highly Qualified teacher. These students help a high school student pick a college and career based on certain criteria once a week.

Last is Mentoring for female students led by the Women in Action group. The female students participate in discussion surrounding topics of interest , self-expression, and collaboration once a week.

In addition, we are working to add more academic, artistic, mentoring, real world, and recreational components to the program in the near future…STAY TUNEDJ
