I can explain these two bad reviews. They are both the same person posing as two separate people. This is the same woman who left her child overnight at this daycare without even a phone call, and then got angry because Ms. De Silva was upset. You also didn't pay her, and still owe her money. I've seen the receipts. That clears that up.
On a separate note, we have had our daughter with Dreena since she was three months old, and Dreena has been a godsend to us. I am a pediatric RN, so I'm very careful with whomever I would have watching our child. This is a small, home based daycare with a friendly, family like atmosphere. Dreena has not only watched our child, she has helped us raise her every step of the way. She has an instinct with children that is incredible. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my child. She is kind, decent and honest, and she raises the kids as if they were her own. You can't pay someone to love your child, and she really does love each and every one of them on an individual basis. She also feeds them three home cooked meals a day (often from her own garden), has a big backyard for them to play in. She runs a tight ship when it comes to teaching them manners and how to play kindly with each other. My daughter's language skills are incredible for her age due to all the interaction.
I highly recommend her care.
I really can't understand these two negative comments. I did a lot of research and talked to every parent that walked in or out of this daycare. No one had anything bad to say. I put my kid in with her and no complaints. She does not just watch the kids, she takes the time to teach them colors, numbers, shapes with flash cards. She will even potty train your kid if you have not already done so. What other day care offers that? To complainer Bo Peep, De Silva Daycare charges by the week as do other daycare centers. If she were to let parents nickel and dime her, she will go out of business. If you want a good place with three home cooked meals for your kids, go to De Silva!
We have had our daughter there for a year, and she just loves "going to Dreena's and playing with kids". We now have our son starting there too. We trust Dreena explicitly and have a great relationship with her. She feeds home cooked, nutritious food to the kids, is so loving with them, helps with potty training and even has a little daily curriculum. We have never had any issues.
This lady is the worst. She's super unprofessional. She'll nickel and dime you every chance she can. She has others who work for her but they never stay employed for long.
If you want a sitter who has the audacity to call you names. Who will nickel and dime you.. She's perfect..
Don't expect to liken this lady as family as many of us tend to do with those who watch our children. She will disappoint - and with shocking verbal unprofessionalism. She charged me for a day my child was sick even though I gave her notice well in advance from the ER.
