Honest Mom May 31, 2016
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have had my children at Creative Mind for over 4 years now. I know that the center's Director or the owners would ever make any negative comments about parents, so I will explain a few things that I personally have knowledge of. As a response to mommy of 4 comments; If I cursed the four letter _ _ _ _ _ _ word in a verb form to the director and state that "I don't work an _ _ _ _ _ _ government job," so in other words, can you change the contract I signed and the policies that I agreed to go by almost two years prior. Because I know you are closed on 10 government holidays but I have 4 children in your facility, of which the government pays you for.... Lets tell the whole truth here! lets be an honest mom. Of course I would probably be terminated also, and cursing out the Director in front of parents and children is not OK!
I trust this facility with my children, they take pride in all they do, they are all qualified teachers, they have all sorts of curriculum for the children of all ages, and they take pride in how the facility looks, on how clean all the classrooms and restrooms are. Pride in the food that is served to the children, and most of all Steve and Silvia are not to concerned so much about the money, or they would let hostile parents dictate how the business should be run. Steve and Silvia are concerned in children being safe and no bullying going on or children trying to sneak "internet passwords" from the office in order to go on-line with their school laptops. I can't imagine my child watching any unregulated or profane acts on a older school age computer. That would be devastating for my 8 year old child's life. Silvia is very adamant about no internet at the facility for the after school children, because you never know what sites can pop up. She wants to keep the children safe, and when she warns a parent several times, about their child's behavior and the parent and child don't comply, well then it leads to consequences of termination. So with that said Parents, you know there are always two sides to every story or event. I know my children are safe, well fed, well cared for and they are happy at the center. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I used this facility since November 2014. I have three children. About two weeks ago I noticed a child in the infant room (0-2years) alone in the room when I arrived with my child. The "teacher" supervising the preschoolers was in a separate room. When she saw me in the room waiting she said the owner, Silvia was upstairs (in the office area which is across the yard) using the bathroom. I wasn't sure why an infant would be left alone for any reason or why she would be upstairs when there is a restroom near where the children were.At this point I began to look for another provider, but was trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, yesterday I received notice my oldest son was being terminated from the facility. I called Silvia to discuss the status of my other two children and she did not answer or return my call. I arrived at my scheduled time of 830am today only to be told my entire family was terminated without cause or proper notice. She then sent a very aggressive text message informing me she would "take drastic measures" if I did not remove my child from the facility. I had already previously informed the director that I would continue to bring the other two children because they were not terminated. Needless to say my family was terminated this morning without proper notice or cause. I feel that Silvia terminates families she simply does not like which is fine I guess, but I have to disagree with her methods as I found it very unprofessional and hostile. I did reach out and attempt to leave the facility on good terms because she had cared for my children for quite some time, but she continued to be harsh. Aside from all of this Ms Lupe and Ms Diana were the primary teachers for the infant room and my son absolutely loved them and they will be missed. Based on this most recent unprofessional, discourteous, and hostile experience I will not recommend this facility again as I feel that this is the nature of the business and it becomes more clear with time spent at the facility.

This place is horrible.  Owners don't care about the children or parents concerns.  They don't work with the parents on their schedules and too many children to 1 teacher.  Go somewhere else please. When your children beg to not go means somethings wrong there.

My children have been attending the Center since 7 weeks old and 3 years old. The atmosphere of the Center makes it feel like home, and the owners Silvia and Steve are loving, caring and passionate about children. This Center is not a daycare, but a learning center to teach every child to develop into there full potential. Working with parents is not an easy job but Silvia gives her all when helping parents and even going above and beyond for children and there families. No other
Center in my opinion will do the things she has done for families, because she really cares. My sons loves Silvia and Steve and are always happy and excited to see them. The center is open 24/7 Mon-Fri based on the needs of parents. Every Federal/Major Holiday the Center is Closed based on the Parent Handbook that is given to each parent upon enrollment. A reminder of the holiday is given to parents who also sign a sheet a week before to remind them of the Holiday. The Center is only closed 10 days out of the year and for me family can watch the children. The staff at the Center really work with the children in every aspect to potty training and teaching them the fundamentals. I really love that the Center has Infant, Preschool, and School-age who are all separated in there own environment and that a family who has multiple children can have them all attend.
If there is anything that needs to be discussed or talked about you have the owners direct Cell which she will address anything and also be straight forward which is not rude, its honesty. I have seen parents leave and bring there kids back which shows the Center is Quality. Children are a blessing and I am blessed to have my children where they are loved and cared for like all the Children at the Center.

My children have been coming to this daycare for two years now. I have 3 children there and they pick them up from school. My children love this daycare and I have never had an issue here. There is always someone with the children and they teach the kids to write their names, shapes, colors, and they also teach them to share. They teach them to be kind and use their words. I have had a few "ouchie" reports, but not because they were not being supervised, kids will be kids and they like to play. I have NEVER seen or heard that someone put hands on a child in a rough way. They do everything in their power to make you comfortable there and always provide a safe place for the children while still making it fun. They have done many things to make it fun for the children, like in the summer they bought a snow cone maker for the kids and they recently took the kids to pick out board games they liked. This daycare center is very clean, they clean daily and make sure that the toys are sanitized. The kids eat good meals and have snacks when they want and ask. The owners will go out of their way to make accommodations for the kids. I LOVE the owners and they truly care about the kids and not the money. They are always there I would recommend this place to everyone. Best place around!!!

First this site says there are only 22 children capacity. Then the owner has that they are open sun-sat 24/7 not true. Its only mon-fri. Alone in the toddler class ages 2-4 there is 22 childern. That's not including infants 6wks-2yrs or the school aged kids... I originally left the comment back in 2013. And I must say a lot of things have changed within months of that review. They have teachers that don't really watch the kids. They has been a couple incidents where my 2&4 yr old have been hurt with the teacher right there. When I have confronted the teacher her excuses were,"oh I was helping another child with a puzzle" and "oh I was putting another child's shoes on." If you are in charge of 10 children ages 2 and are helping another child you still need to be observant of the other children in your care. Now because of their failed actions my son has a good 2inch scar on his right cheek. My other son has ear damage from being hit with a shovel. If I could upload photos I would. I even showed the owner and all she said was to out sugar and water. 2months later and the scars remain. There have been other miner incidents with the owner putting hands on my older children. Then they follow the federal holiday schedule which they could never fully explain why and I can't figure it out. Since we aren't located near a military base and most the parents work civilian jobs. When I asked if she was willing to work with the parents who work minor holidays such as veterans day. My suggestion was a sign up sheet with a minimum of 12 children to open. She kept saying no and really didn't care if the children had care or if I was going to miss a day of work. Which is not likely since my job is in the healthcare field. I have called around to other daycare facilities and I was suprised at how many where opened on minor holidays and even having sign up sheets to accomedate parents that worked christmas eve ect. My kids would beg me not to take them to creative minds learning center. I gave a 2 week notice, the owner called and texted me 5 days later on veterans holiday that they were closed on to tell me that was there last day. Even though they were at their new daycare. When I requested a written notice the owner told me I have her text. Finally she said she would write me one. I hsve been waiting over 2 weeks now. With no response from her. In my opinion and experience the owner is unprofessional, uncaring and rude. There are so many other child care providers that are caring and willing to accomedate parents with there work schedules. I can't and won't recommend this daycare anymore.

My children have been attending here for over a year now. I really love this day care! Every moring both the owners are there Steve and Silvia. Nicest people ever and super involved with the daycare. There has only been a couple of days out of this past year I didn't see them. I really love how they divide the children by age and not shoving all the kids in one class together. They work with the preschoolers ages 2-4 on abc's, color's, shapes. to get them prepared for kindergarten even teach them Spanish words. Had to deal with a few things that yiu will find at any daycare, no excepting sick children and I have had to sign a few ouchie reports such as an toodler biting my child or my child feel while playing. I only wish they could find permanent teachers. There are only 3 that are new, the other 6 have been there for years and are wonderful. I really hope these 3 new teachers will stay. Overall I love this daycare. And my children are very happy attending here. Oh and Teacher Silvia is very clean. Daycare always smells fresh. They literally mop the floors every night at least 3 times. No joke.I would recommend this daycare to everyone, great place.
