Description:
We offer a preschool and kindergarten Montessori program for children ages two-and-a-half through six, Monday through Friday, 8:50 am to 2:30 pm. A three or four day option is available for entering two-and-a-half year old. We provide a nine and a half month school year and a seven week summer program.
Our classroom environment is designed to meet the needs of each child whatever his/her unique interests and style of learning. Using a blend of high-quality materials including Montessori and "open-ended manipulatives," we strive to support growth of the whole child – mind, body, and spirit. By offering an exciting, creative and nurturing atmosphere, children will reach their greatest potential. With our smaller program and experienced staff, we work with the entire family to honor these special early years. Our program is designed to bring out your child’s sense of wonder, order, concentration, self-confidence and independence.
Each teacher has a group of “core children” that she focuses on throughout the school year, recording observations of the children and giving individual “lessons.” These are based on careful observation of the child, their learning syles, and individual needs. This supports each child on his/her own unique path through the progression of the curriculum. This process helps the child to come into balance in all areas of their development.
We offer yoga classes as well as music !
