I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My daughter was with Colleen for almost a year. Our daughter and colleen had a good relationship which is why we dealt with Colleen's unprofessional ism and drama for as long as we did. Colleen's sick days were excessive above and beyond her 10 days specified in the contract ( which we were required to pay for as well as her vacation time). Colleen also shortened her hours in the middle of our contracted and changed my handwriting on the document with out my knowledge or providing me with a new copy to agree to. She stressed that she provided kids with a healthy diet, which over time turned out to be junk food every day. She was supposed to be providing our daughter with preschool level education, however when my daughter was asked daily what she did all she said was that they "played and cleaned" with no evidence of any real preschool activities going on. We decided we needed to go a different route with a daycare provider and approached Colleen with a 2 week offer to terminate instead of the 30 days the contract specified, we felt this was more than fair since she had already broke her side of the said contract with excessive sick days, vacation time, and a change in the original agreed upon hours, not to mention how much money she was paid for unexpected time off. Colleen reacted very poorly and unprofessional as a result we could not leave our daughter there another day not to mention the 2 weeks we originally offered. We are currently waiting to settle this in court. She now refuses to provide any tax forms for the services we paid for. If you are looking for a quality affordable provider i encourage you to look more because Colleen is not your answer in my opinion

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We've made the mistake of staying with Colleen because she is inexpensive and because she really seems to love our kids. We've tolerated her drama and her ridiculous "illness" criteria like a fever over 99 degrees or her tendency to randomly cancel daycare for one reason or another. Our pediatrician had a good laugh when we told him what she considered a fever. She does not comport herself in a professional manner, and when it comes down to it, she's a babysitter and not a true child care professional. We were terminated (both our children) because one of our children was considered "uncontrollable." During a typical toddler tantrum, she whipped her head back and injured Colleen. We offered to pay half her medical expenses, which we really should not have had to do because this is an occupational hazard that happened in her place of business. We paid her on a Friday for the next two weeks. She terminated us the Sunday before said services were set to begin, and she has refused to return our payment. She pulled this stunt a couple of years ago with another family as well, so this is not a one-off.

The bottom line is that she is sweet with the kids, but is immature and unprofessional, to say nothing of her dishonesty. She is inexpensive, and we pretty much got what we paid for. We ended up paying a lot of money for last minute babysitting and missed work.
