Description: Claremont Day Nursery has served the community for over 40 years. There are three convenient East Bay locations in Berkeley Oakland and Kensington. The schools are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Part-time schedules are available. A hot homemade lunch on-site is served at no additional cost. We provide transportation from neighboring schools for our school aged children. Our program exposes children ranging in age from 2 years to 6 years to a variety of skills and activities in a warm and nurturing environment thereby giving children a secure foundation for the educational process and an excellent preparation for Kindergarten. Our curriculum is that of a traditional pre-school program with an emphasis on science art language development dramatic play learning and social skills. Along with developing small and large motor sensory and perceptual skills we teach an environmental awareness based on seasonal and yearly themes.
