I have used this provider for more than 6 months

As of 10/5/2020 I have had many bad experiences with COA. My son has been going there since he was 9 months, he is now 4. We are looking for a new place. Communication is horrible, they will put important information in my child's bag instead of emailing us. The Director, Assistant Director, and multiple teachers quit within weeks of each other. The new administration and crew have consistently given different stories about multiple simple things. We have always taken a blanket, pillow, and a snuggy animal for my son to sleep with. The teacher put in Tadpoles, the app used to inform parents of a child's daily activity, that kids can't bring in toys to include stuffed animals. We called the front desk to verify they meant to include my child's sleep animal and they said sleep animals were fine just not toys. As of 10/5/2020 the teacher is telling me the that is not okay. The point is simple, as a parent it is not easy. We pay $1400+ a month of a safe a easy place to take our child. That is not the case with Children of America in Mohegan Lake, NY anymore. A few weeks ago we were told we could not bring our child in 5 days a week because a teacher's kids had to homeschool due to COVID-19. When I asked the director why this was not directly communicated to me or my wife they told me it was in a note in my kids bag that I never got. Additionally she said the reason was because two teachers in all of the school could not attend due to non-covid medical reasons. In some fairness they deducted the days they told us my son couldn't come in but the toll on my wife and trying to reschedule work and life appointments was not worth the daily refund in our honest opinion. We have a 4 year old and one on the way. We are not sure if the 4 year old will stay until Kindergarten next year but I am positive our child will not be attending Children of America at Mohegan Lake.
