Philosophies/ Regulations
I believe that good childcare depends upon consistent caregiving no matter age, race, color, sex, creed, handicap, national origin or ancestry in a home-like atmosphere. I have also studied child abuse and neglect because, Children grow and learn best in a safe environment that provides opportunities to explore, create and communicate with other children and adults. The Center’s program is designed to include both planned and spontaneous activities in response to children’s interests. Experiences with music, movement, art, language and building are incorporated into daily plans. Regularly scheduled snacks and meals, rest time, indoor and outdoor play, and routines in physical caregiving promotes the child’s health, comfort and ability to care for his/herself. There is maximum flexibility for the children as a group and as individuals. Children are encouraged to develop a positive self-image, to learn inner controls and to cooperate with peers and caregivers. Clearly defined limits help them recognize and accept their emotions and express their feelings as they grow and feel secure in the world around them. I am a firm believer that no child is left behind, or left out here at my daycare. Always providing the up most care for all children, we are all here together. No child will go hungry. There will be absolutely no fire arms on property! No smoking anywhere in the home or around children. I am located in Hubbard, Ohio of course in the township area. There are various bus routes available here for the Hubbard Public Schools. My program is inexpensive, the hours of operation work with the working families working hours. I will be accepting publicly funded and private paid families. All fees and expenses will be discussed during interview.
A new contract will be signed by all families at the beginning of each year. I reserve the right to make changes in policies as I deem necessary. You will be notified, in writing, of any changes that may occur.
Policies/Procedures
I have been a mother for the past 12 years, while I did some daycare work on the side. I am trained in CPR, First Aid, and Communicable Disease, also trained with health and safety. I have last but not the least passed the FBI & BCI background checks.
Hours of Operation
open 5 am - 11:30 pm
Open Holiday’s
Arrivals and departures
All parents must give me a schedule at least one week in advance. All children must be signed in and out daily
If parents are unable to bring their child to daycare on a scheduled day, they must be reported off. Parents cannot just drop their children off at any time they so desire, I have to have a schedule one week in advance.
Children will not be released to anybody who is not on the enrollment form without prior approval from parent. A picture ID will be required by the authorized person picking up the child.
Pets in my home
They are properly taken care of and maintained, all shots and vaccinations are current and up to date.
Discipline
Discipline should be used to teach children. We offer a time out area, where children can sit alone to think about what they did wrong. If this is an ongoing issue and problem can- not be fixed, then the child will need to go to another daycare.
Drills and safety procedures
Fire Drills are practiced each month and documented, a fire evacuation plan is posted with directions on where to go.
Tornado Drills are practiced each month and documented
Lock Downs- If I am ever notified of an emergency situation that requires a lock down. All children will remain inside, all doors and windows are locked. All door and windows will remain locked until further instructions are given by the authorities.
Smoking
I have a smoke free daycare for the children, and ask of disposing cigarette butts in your ash tray in your car. Please do not throw your butts in the yard.
