I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I really love this care facility. My 8 month old hates people, even cries when family members come around, but she loves these ladies. They provide great, safe care and the rates are extremely reasonable. I would absolutely recommend Building Bridges.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The negative reviews are accurate. The staff at this location try their best but the owner is dishonest and very difficult to work with. The rooms are under managed and they are out of ratio frequently (especially in the am where they have 7-8 kids of all ages and one person). Issues with child confidentiality, adhering to dietary restrictions, and cleanliness are some other issues. The owner ultimately is the biggest issue and you can very easiely see the struggle her staff have working with her. She is incredibly rude and dismissive if you ask questions or bring up concerns.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We had a very difficult experience with the owner of this daycare. The staff do their best but they are left understaffed and are often out of ratio throughout the day, especially in the morning. Issues with privacy about child information, adhering to dietary restrictions, etc.

Horrible Jan 30, 2019
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Everything seemed great at first. Until we started to ask questions about how the facility is run, what my child does all day, and who all the new people in the building are all the time. The director said awful things about my child to my face in retaliation to my questions- which any parent should have the right to ask. My child was acting out because of inexperienced, poorly trained staff who mistreat the children and cannot provide structure. My child would cry every morning before daycare. We have moved on to another facility close by with much more experience and structure. My child has 0 issues, is HAPPY and LOVES going to school each day. Wish we would've left sooner.

I am an employee

As an ex-employee i can see that certain families only see what they want to see. When parents are confronted about an issue it can be difficult to hear. The truth is still the truth. Kelly is a wonderful person and she doesn't have anything to hide. I think people forget that she is human too. She would give anything to anyone if they asked. She has helped me and my family. She goes above and beyond just being a boss. If you don't know what goes on behind the scenes you shouldn't say anything.

Beware Jun 11, 2018
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We had our child enrolled here much longer than we wanted to. Almost all of the good teachers have gone, turnover averages every 3-6 weeks for staff. Communication is terrible. The director is preoccupied with her own family and unable to properly manage this facility. In my opinion, she should not be working with children. She makes judgements on the children without really knowing anything about them and has even went as far to say that multiple teachers have lied in order to make herself look better. We went to our pediatrician and he even suggested we look for a new child care provider. I know several families are unhappy, but feel stuck because it can be hard to find close, affordable child care. We have taken the time to fully experience this facility and make our judgement to leave an accurate review. We have many personal stories that would support our opinion of poor business practices and concerns that this facility is not complying with state regulations. We have chosen to omit those stories to protect the privacy of our child. I would NEVER recommend this facility to another parent.

Disgusted Mar 26, 2018
I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I have never seen a center that was run so poorly and a director that was so dishonest. Since my child has been enrolled I have seen the state called in more than five times for the center being understaffed and dirty. More than five teachers/aides have come and gone. I am on the verge of losing my job because I can't trust leaving my child there.

Danger Jan 24, 2017

This place is a joke. The owner is a crook and the only staff that knows what they are doing is Ms. Leona. They break a ton of codes and Kelly doesn't actually tend to the children as she does her grandchildren who also are at the facility. I wouldn't ever recommend this place for the care of anyone's children or for employment.

My family loves building bridges. My daughter has been enrolled for over 1 year and has had great care and has learned so much.  She is only 2 and knows her ABC's and numbers, all of which I know she learned at the facility. We have been so happy with Kelly the owner and the rest of the staff all of which are so pleasant and wonderful to my daughter.  This facility has truely been a blessing and would recomment it to anyone.  Clean, friendly, safe, I couldn't be happier.

Beware Mar 22, 2013

I was troubled by the care my infant son received there.
-I was told he would be in a separate room (the director Kelly's office) until his immune system developed enough to be around the other kids, but when I picked him up the first day he was with all the other kids. When I asked Kelly about it she said he would have gotten sick anywhere because viruses are in the air, whether in a restaurant or at the day care, avoiding the fact that she told me something that influenced my choosing that day care.
-The newborn infants to age two are lumped into one small room.
-When my son was on antibiotics he had terrible diarrhea and I was assured by Kelly that he would be changed every hour. When I picked him up, however, the sheet said he was changed twice (in 8 hours). When I asked the staff about it (Kelly was absent at that time) they said they didn't know he had diarrhea and that they never got the message. 3 staff told me this. When I called Kelly to confront her about why they didn't know, she said that they DID know and she did not know why they would lie about that.
-After feeding the babies their bottles, they did not throw them out after the recommended time but continued to offer the same bottle until they were empty, even after the formula expired. When I told a staff that there is actually an hour time limit on the formula she was surprised by this saying that her direction from Kelly was to finish each bottle. I had her read the back of a can.
-a few times I walked in and Kelly was telling at the children very loudly, not productively disciplining them.
-When registering him I was not briefed on how a day care is run and was surprised by both the registration fee as well as being charged for days that he did not attend (I now understand these procedures but was not aware by any means when registering him. There were days I didn't take him in because I was called off work, etc but she did not explain to me that I would be charged regardless until I confronted her about a bill).
-It is cheap. You can't beat $40 a day for an infant. But in this case, you get what you pay for.
