I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I have a one year old attending and definitely looking for a new childcare center as i type this review. I sat in the center to observe my child because the complaint was that my ONE YEAR OLD had a short attention span and didnt interact with the children nor her teachers. I observed for 2 hours to find that my child interacted with everyone great. The only problem was the school work. I dont knkw a one year old on earth that will sit still and repeat all 26 letters without getting distracted or tired doing the task. Even at home, when she is done she is done. I was informed that if she didnt do well on the ASQ3 that dcf would be called on me. However, they do a one on one setting with the assesment and haven't realizes yet that my daughter does not do well with on the spot tests. Again she is only one. Majority of the stuff on the assesment she can do if they just watch her play. I went thru the list as i watched her play at school. However, on this same day the older kids went on a field trip which left only 2 teachers in the entire facility. So infants and older kids were mixed together in one class ans they were definitely out of ratio. How can they pay attention to the children, especially the younger children when you are also watching these rambunctious older kids? Chairs were being thrown, my daughter's teacher was actually whooping her oldest kids in the class with a back scratcher in front of the babies. It was a mess and apparently not the only time this has happened. Then my healthy fanilies caseworker states that the asq3 was to be filled out by me. Not in a closed off setting, one on one like the daycarr has been saying. So they literally threatened dcf on me when they arent even doing the assessment properly. That alone is setting the children up for failure. I pay cash, no voucher for my daughter's childcare. So i expect her to be cared for properly. They have dcf visit them once a week...thats a red flag to me all on its own.
