The day care overall isn't terrible. The women who watch the kids are friendly amd kind for the most part. Aside from that, this facility is not up to standard when it comes to cleanliness. The young children have a "ball pit" that they crawl in and out of and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that this is simply not sanitary. There is no way to keep the balls sanitized and/or avoid spreading germs among the children. A popular children's pizza and entertainment center from the 80's and 90's most remember as "Showbiz" or "Chuck E Cheese" removed the "ballpit" from their game and activity floora due to the fact that it's simply not sanitary or safe for kids to be literally rolling in filth.
I also witnessed children passing books back and forth in their mouths. These books are made of thick, porous, board material and harbor many germs. A true environment for a communicable disease to thrive, as they are not able to be sterilized or cleaned due to THE fact they are porous!
I watched as one child's dirty diaper was changed only to see the next child immediately be placed on the changing table without any Lysol spray or change of paper underneath. That is not sanitary!
When my child turned up with a staph infection that was the icing on the cake. Not only did one of the directors argue with me that my child did not have a staph infection, (2 doctor's agreed it was staph) I was sent a bill for the week he was sick due to the filth he was subjected to, as well as billed for two weeks after when it was clear we were not taking him back.
When I initially called to confront the daycare, the woman who answered the phone told me that they "disinfect all toys once a week." (Talk about gross) I was shocked.
Later when another woman called me I was told that the previous statement about disinfecting the toys once a week was made by a woman who "has terminal cancer and isn't all there."
The last statement was all I needed to hear.
It's good to know that my child had been at a day care where someone who is answering phones and taking care of children "isn't all there"

Nothing anout my statement is malicious or untrue. My phone conversations were recorded and I have medical documents to prove my child had staph. (Look into how staph is aquired) Had proper sanitation precautions been practiced this wouldn't have happened.

The intent of my review is to bring awareness to this child care center to clean up and take a little more pride in your facility.
You're taking care of our babies and they deserve nothing less than the best.
For $160 a week per child there is no excuse to not be able to clean up properly.
And I would like to say one more time that the teachers were wonderful with the kids. I blame the ones in charge for the unsavory conditions. If you run a daycare that's your job to make sure everything is up to par.

Good luck in the future.
