we found amber through 4-c. while i was still pregnant, we met up with her a few times to see if she would be a good match. with our decision, we "put down" a "security deposit" of $170. She knew I was due early May and we'd probably need her childcare in Mid-June. I called her 3 weeks after mychild was born to let her know. It took her over a week to call back, and when she did, she told me she could no longer watch our child because she had a great opportunity to move to Portage. So finally, we talked on the phone and she said she would refund our money as she was passing through Madison, we arranged a time to meet, and as the clock ticked I called her, and of course no answer. I called several times throughout the next weeks, leaving messages and whatnot, not even a phone call to us, we could tell she ignored our phone calls and she would turn off her phone if we "called too much". We sent her paperwork describing how we are going to take her to court, and still no reply back.
It took me "14" times to call her for her to finally pick up WEEKS/MONTHS later, and when she did pick up, she said she was sick and didn't have the money. She said she would refund it when she could.
SO- not my fault she firstly could not call to even tellus she moved which has been an HUGE inconviencne and headache as i have not been able to work, because of her.
Secondly, it takes two seconds to call to step up and say "Sorry i don't have the money, i will give it to you when i can" She never called, for anything.
I want to point out that i had to call HER to find out SHE moved, she wasn't responsible enough to even tell us that. I had to call HER "14" times to get her to finally pick up...... she said we were harassing her with all the phone calling, so why wouldn't you just pick up the 1st time then?????
She is very irresponsible and ungrateful. I cannot believe we were supposed to trust her with our child. Good luck!!! She might screw you out of money too, because no, we still have not been refunded.
Amber is great. My daughter has never been to daycare before so i was a bit worried. Amber is very understanding. The group is small so she has more time with each child. My baby girl loves books and Amber reads to her a lot. She plays educational games with them. I recommend her. Your child will be happy with her.
Great with children. A fun enviroment.
