Description: Children learn by doing. At Amazing Grace Kids, children explore, create, interact and discover, in a thoughtfully prepared environment full of interesting materials. Using this hands-on, play based approach, literacy, music, art, science, math and social studies are woven into our daily curriculum, which follows the Massachusetts State Guidelines. Children also learn best when they feel safe and loved. With teacher support, our students learn to communicate and negotiate with peers and adults, equipping them with the social skills that are foundational for a lifetime of interacting with others. Faith in God underlies all that we do – at Amazing Grace Kids, children learn about how God made our wonderful world and that He loves us. Teachers pray for the school and for families on a regular basis. We work in partnership with our host, Trinity Covenant Church, to provide this Christian preschool experience to families in Lexington and the surrounding towns. Amazing Grace Kids was born of a dream of teachers Amy Hinrichs and Ellie Beatty to offer quality Christian preschool education to Boston area families. Incorporated as a non-profit school in 2010, Amazing Grace Kids began as a “Parents’ Day Out” program offered to children one day a week. By September of 2012 Amazing Grace Kids was licensed by the Mass Department of Early Education and Care as a preschool, offering classes three days a week. Enrollment has grown steadily, and as of September of 2013, we offer two classrooms and are open every weekday. Amazing Grace Kids admits students of any race, color, gender, creed, cultural heritage, ethnic origin, and disability, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school.
