I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son went to Aileen Family Daycare since he was 18 months. He absolutely loved this place and the many friends he had established there. Ms. Silvia is very patient and trustworthy. She's the kind of person who will reach out to you after hours if there are any concerns with the child. She's very caring and loving with the children. Ms. Silvia and her assistant(s) have always been super friendly and welcoming as well as flexible with the parents. She also caters to all the different development stages in which the child is in. When my son started Prek I was amazed at how much he had learned at this daycare. He was very prepared when school started. I'm grateful for Ms. Silvia's dedication to my child because she fills in the gaps that I am unable to do since I work full time. I would highly recommend Aileen Family Daycare.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Aileen Family Daycare has been a truly wonderful place to place my children. I had my son and daughter go till they were in kindergarten. I was a stressed mother because I thought I couldn't tame my rambunctious girl and was always cautious with my son's peanut allergy. The provider to which I had the pleasure to be reunited is still amazing. I can honestly say that without the daycare I would look like a grandma from all the stress. After a while kindergarten the teacher told me that they were ahead of the other kids with colors, shapes, writing names, and puzzles. This really has been my haven daycare. The provider has really helped me in my time of despair. As for my son's peanut allergy she as well was cautious on what to give my son, I had not one incident in the daycare. I would recommend this daycare over and over.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Update: This childcare provider called my husband and left a voicemail to ask to delete my review. This is a red flag, and certainly alarming. This woman has harassed us multiple times after asking to please stop, with text messages and calling my husband at work. This would be infuriating to anyone and is completely unacceptable

My daughter is 11 months old and this daycare provider expected my child to be "independent" because she cried too much and apparently just likes to be held. My daughter was only there for FOUR days and she is making these remarks since her third day there, attending part time. This provider should learn more on separation anxiety, the use of walkers in her daycare, and TV usage on kids. As a daycare provider, she should be more aware of the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP). TV usage is not recommended for infants, such as walkers, and maybe learn a thing or two on what separation anxiety is and how to help a child and parent cope.

I dont recommend this place unless your newborn, infant, or toddler is independent, and doesn't cry. She is lazy and just wants a paycheck, if you have too much to say about the welfare of your child, she calls you demanding. This woman is rude and I can not believe she is in the field of working with children.

Edit to add :

Also, she doesn’t respect my daughters allergies. During the interview process , I told her my daughter can not consume dairy, and has a special formula called Nutramigen, that I provided. She gave my daughter yogurt and cheese and who knows what else. And when I tried to explain to her that it was medically necessary, she asked me how would I know that if I never tried. My daughter was very sick from CMA very early on, so for her to question me over what my daughter has to eat, was a little alarming. This lady needs a lot more education on kids.

I am enraged and disappointed in this daycare. I would never recommend this place.

I have copies from the registration process where it was written to you that she is in on a special formula due to dairy allergy. I also have text messages and photo of my daughter in a walker and asked you to take her out because there is risk of dangers and you said no, its okay because i am watching her and its good for her legs. So please do not write here, that you do follow the recommendations of AAP , because when I mentioned it to you and my husband, you had no idea what that even was. With the milk allergy, you didn’t even understand what I was telling you. You are very misinformed and will come up with excuses to save yourself. You need to be able to listen to parents. You talk over me and expect someone to still be patient. You call someone demanding, when you do not like what has to be said.

My daughters schedule is different from the other children because she is still an infant and takes two naps a day and drinks formula every 4 hours as well as solids at different times. These were things all discussed during the interview process and nap times and meal times were written as well. This is all in copies from the registration process. If the provider did not agree with this, she could have let us know at the time of the registration. I had to bring an updated copy of the schedule to explicitly let her know that she can not consume dairy. She never asked for a different letter about her dairy allergy although it was mentioned multiple times during the interview by my husband and I. Her formula is prescribed and covered by insurance because it medically necessary. Our daughters lunch and formula was provided by us because this provider told us she does not give her her own food until 12 months, but this was not the case, which is why we constantly had to reiterate what our child needs.

This business may have been around for 14 years but obviously they are not updated on health risks and how kids learn developmentally. There is no quality at this daycare.

The expectation of finding a good daycare should always be high, the experience says a lot when encountering difficult situations and people that in certain cases try to make the work difficult. Aileen Family Daycare has been in business since 2004. By reading this comment I can only say that the girl was here for 4 days with part time, during this period of adaptation we will always see aspects of separation anxiety, health issues, habits, and fundamentally the communication between parents and provider. The physical record of the girl say not to have allergies, specified to any product of dairy, the baby continues to drink her formula until one year old. On the second day we gave her yogurt for breakfast, I told the mother that she was given yogurt as part of the breakfast and it was there that I found out that she is allergic to regular milk and to any dairy product something that was not mentioned in the interview, the attitude that of the mother showed at the moment to be so upset, so she brought the same routine in typed form the next day and with more indications for her daughter, very different from the routine that other children have in the daycare. We tried to help her by being flexible but her predisposition to say things was very authoritarian. We try to be flexible in certain things like not using the walkers because according to the AAP (American Association of Pediatrics) cause delay in the children motor skills , and that the infant children should not watch television at any time. In the daycare we use television with educational purposes and with a time limit. As for communication for me it is very important. Mrs. Kristina Perez demonstrated her demanding and authoritarian manner with my person and my assistant. I understand that it is her first child but she must be more calmer and respectful, since we are getting to the know the girl, her habits, skills, and dexterity and this takes time. Of all that happened I spoke with the father of the girl and when she found out that I called the father she was more angry and made a negative comment. As a conclusion, the attitude in people is very important and dealing with others must show the education that one has without disturbing the peace of mind.
