NIGHTMARE IS THE ONLY WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS DAYCARE OMG DONT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE HASSEL HAVE THE DOG WATCH YOUR KIDS INSTEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not have a kid that attends this daycare but I have lived nearby for some time now. I constantly see small children playing outside unattended. The kids are often running or on a bicycle going up and down the street for hours without an adult in sight. I have also witnessed kids in the street and almost getting hit by cars as this is a busy street and the daycare is right at the intersection. Additionally, the yard where the kids play constantly has overgrown grass and weeds and is filled with toys that are dirty and old. I have also experienced people doing drugs in the driveway of the daycare numerous times. I am in the process of reporting this daycare to the state and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if considering this daycare provider as this seems like a very unsafe situation.
The provider was not active in the daycare, always on her phone or having conversations that were not appropriate with others. The children were always running around, fighting, or just watching tv... accept maybe one activity during the day. On more than one occasion at pick up, the provider was upstairs while children were left downstairs unattended for over 10 minutes at a time and anyone could just walk right into the house at this time. She was always on the couch at drop off and at pick up and would be texting or on the phone at pick up so there was minimal interaction with the adults if any. Very unstable and I should have read the other reviews before having her as a daycare.
If I could give this "care provider" 0 stars, I would. Please save yourself a lot of time and a major headache and avoid her altogether. Poor care, and minimal interactions the kids. Just don't put yourself through dealing with Shelly.
I have never had a worse experience with a day care provider in my life. Last minute cancellations, discussing my child's care and private issues with peers, picking my child up wet and soiled, feeding the children junk food all day, lazy as can be. The kids were rarely outside to play and she was often on her phone, or socializing with friends while the kids were in her care. Friends and Family were often over and the language and conversations were completely inappropriate. Very combative and aggressive and an altogether NIGHTMARE. She is known to others in the childcare community for this reputation. Beware!
