The staff at LBT Daycare are committed to excellence. Each teacher and staff member has either obtained or is pursuing advanced continuing education credentials through the Kentucky Child Development Associates Program, which is a hands on higher-level training program where staff are taught the fundamentals of child development, child safety, teaching techniques and enhanced communication skills.
Along with enhanced training, the majority of our staff have long tenures at our center. This provides stability and ensures that your child will see a friendly familiar face for the years he or she is enrolled at LBTDC.

LBTDC considers it a core value to be much more than just a "babysitting service." For this reason, preschool education programs begin as early as 2 years of age in our center. Each classroom operates on a daily structured schedule that integrates play, social skill enhancement, educational time and manipulatives (crafts & projects). No child leaves a day at LBTDC claiming to be bored!
As students advance into our 4K program, they are introduced to the A Beka Course of Study. A Beka is an accelerated academy-style curriculum that focuses on the foundational principles of mathematics, language, phonics, social studies, science and writing, as well as creative outlets and social skills. Most of our outgoing students score beyond Kindergarten levels when entering elementary school after completing the 4K year.

LBTDC has 16,000 square feet of licensed space, as well as two outdoor play structures and a gymnasium which keeps kids active during the cold winter months indoors. Each classroom is outfitted with age-appropriate fixtures, play items and educational materials, and our commercial kitchen allows our chef to prepare delicious, fresh meals each day which meets all the standards of the state and federal foodservice programs.
I gained custody of my 2 grandchildren in March 2010. As I work full time I needed to find a daycare that I could trust with all of my heart to take care of my grandchildren. I visited over 12 daycare facilities and "happened" upon Lexington Baptist Daycare as I was driving down Armstrong Road. I decided to stop in and check them out. From the minute I walked in the door I was overwhelmed with the feeling that I had found the perfect place for them (and for me). Beth and Misty greeted me and made me feel right at home, they explained all that LBT had to offer, took me on a tour of the facility and answered all my questions. My grandson was with me an he also feel in love with LBT. I was so nervous the first day (and that whole first week) when the kids started going there. From day one the entire staff at LBT have shown my grandchildren love and patience and to this day they continue to do so. I have witnessed the staff treat all the children the same way. My grandchildren still go there and I can honestly say that I come to work everyday with out the having to stress about how they will be treated while they are there. I have peace of mind everyday knowing they are loved and cared for. I highly recommend Lexington Baptist Temple daycare to anyone who is in need of child care. I cannot say enough to really express how I truly feel but both the kids and myself feel love and acceptance by everyone at LBT. My granddaughter is now 5 and in the Preschool program where thanks to her teacher Mrs. Angie Wright she is excelling! LBT in my opinion is "Simply the Best!"
