SPEC is an established preschool program that has served the highland community for over 70 years. We are in search of a dependable, self-motivated person. Must be available for classes 9:00-1:00 Monday-Friday. This position is for the lead toddler teacher at Strathmoor Preschool. We care for children ages 2- 5 years old. We are closed for holidays similar to JCPS, following their school calendar. Our staff are caring and kind and take early childhood education very seriously. This position will require hands on play and guidance as well as lesson planning and implementation. 15 paid hours of annual professional development training, CPR and First Aid training are required and paid for by us. Early childhood experience is a must. Lead teaching expereince is preferred. CDA or early childhood education degree preferred. Pay is based on education and experience. Must be at least 18 and pass a background check. This position will begin early to mid August.
Must have at least a high school diploma.
Must be at least 18 or over.
Must have experience in a lead preschool teaching role.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Nice to have:
Degree in early childhood development or related field with other degrees accepted.
