Job Title: Part Time Assistant Daycare Provider (Infant/Toddlers)

Hours: On Average 20 hours per week: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday with the opportunity to work temporarily full time from August 15th, 2022 to October 28th, 2022
Compensation: $20/hourly
Reports to: Childcare Director and other assigned supervisors
Position Overview: Daycare Provider (Infant/Toddlers) at Washington Yu Ying are part of a collaborative and supportive faculty with a common goal of continuously improving a great school.

Assistant Daycare Provider possess the following skills/responsibilities:
Daycare Assistant Teachers possess the following skills/responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher and Childcare Director in planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child. This should be done based on the goals and general curriculum plan of Washington Yu Ying PCS
Support the implementation of daily teaching programs under the direction of lead classroom teacher(s).
Assist in providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and imaginative play
Help organize activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling and field trips.
Help teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene and social skills
Support lead teacher in arranging indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities and safety.
Demonstrated ability to and willingness to learn to teach in ways that are interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based, and promote self-discovery and critical thinking
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn in supporting lead teacher to establish an effective, respectful and efficient classroom culture
Attend children's basic needs, such as feeding, dressing, diapering, hand washing, napping, transitioning, etc. Ensure these child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic and consistent with good child development principles.
Support the Lead Teacher in establishing and enforcing rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining orders
Observe and assist with evaluating children’s performance behavior, social development, and physical health.
Support the lead teacher and childcare director to ensure that parents receive adequate information about their child’s experiences at the center through daily contacts and regularly scheduled parent conferences.

Help prepare and present displays of student's work.
Qualifications:
Have earned an Associate’s degree or more advanced degree from an accredited institution or CDA with preschool or infant/toddler endorsement with a high school diploma.
Have experience working with infants and toddlers
Meet state educational licensing and additional center/school requirements
CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
