    Lead Director (Full-time)

    Coon Rapids Day Care Center

    Coon Rapids Day Care Center (a non-profit entity of Coon Rapids United Methodist Church) is seeking our next Lead Director to love and care for our kids, families, and staff and to manage all aspects of the organization. With a long tradition of success in the Coon Rapids area, we are excited to find the next leader who will inspire future growth and innovation.

    With room to grow, Coon Rapids Day Care Center supports an average enrollment of 55 infants and children, with 20 full and part-time staff members, many of whom are long-term employees. The next director will be the primary leader of the organization, managing all aspects of the business with the support of an assistant director, highly committed staff, an advisory board as well as church leadership. In partnership, the church supports the day care with payroll services, financial management, building maintenance/custodial services, staffing/HR advisement (as needed) and pastoral guidance/care. Together, our goal is to create a loving environment in which children are given the best of care, families are supported, and staff are inspired to grow and excel.

    Salary: Negotiable based on Qualifications and Experience

  • Job Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or other related field (Commensurate experience considered)

    2-3 years of Director and/or Staff Supervision experience in a licensed childcare facility, with supervision/oversight of the following:

    All State of Minnesota Childcare Center Licensing regulations

    Staff recruitment, training, management, scheduling, evaluation, support, and retainment

    Financial Management and Budgeting to include CCA (Child Care Assistance) and CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program)

    Communications and Marketing to create positive community and family relations

    Core Competencies and Skills:
