Zora Montessori is seeking an individual who understands the needs of children 13 months to 3 years. Someone who loves to teach and is empathetic, encouraging and nurturing with the children. Zora Montessori started with an idea to create a quality preschool that supports the children of Lane County. It is the only Montessori school that is located in West Eugene, a location that allows it to serve the families of the Bethel School District.
We are open from 7am-6pm, M-F. Your schedule will be during the morning and early afternoon.
•A Step 8 in the Oregon registry OR 20-semester credits OR 30 quarter credits in ECE or Child Development OR One Year State nationally recognized credential OR a minimum of one year of qualified experience working with Infant/Toddler children in a Certified Child Care Center.
•Be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to starting work
•Have a current food handler's card
•Have a current 1st Aid/CPR card
•Either have documentation of completing an Oregon Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse class or take a class with in 90 day
•Willingness to complete minimally 20 clock hours of continuing education per certification year.
*This is a Montessori school so prior knowledge/experience with Montessori is highly recommended.*
