I have used this provider for more than 6 months

food left on counters; debris/tools left on floor where babies crawl; frequently smells like trash/dirty diapers; multiple babies with frequent diaper rash only on days at the school (not being changed often enough?); friends of workers just hanging out in the rooms - chaos during pickup - no supervision; too many kids to staff (I witnessed 6-7 babies to only 2 staffers); incorrectly reports on feeding/changing schedule; icy conditions not tended to in parking lot; people can walk in with no one at the desk in the mornings sometimes; doesn't feed foods as requested; feeds bottles after 1 hr of being warmed; puts blankets and toys in crib with babies too young to pull themselves up; doesn't return clothing/bottles/socks/etc.; doesn't return clothing/bottles/socks/etc.; uses others' diapers/wipes/cream, etc. w/o asking about skin sensitivities; uses unsafe hair products of other children, even after being asked not to several times (choking hazards).

My child attends the before and after school program at UTS as well. We have been there since my child was an infant. I do know that the children are always given alternatives for breakfast - like plain Cheerios or bagels. Maybe you should talk to your child about his/her choices. And because of food allergies with my child, I know that the juice they serve is 100% juice. It's sad that you feel your options are limited and you HAD to send your child there. I am so glad that my child is safe and loved and well cared for. That is what is the most important thing to me!

My two year old daughter attends there and she is so excited to go to school every day. The staff is warm and kind, and you can tell that they genuinely care about your child as if they were their own. The center is clean and well taken care of and the playground is great! They also provide meals which most centers in the area do not. My daughter comes home every day and literally has learned something new. She is two years old and knows all her colors, shapes, can say her ABCs and count to 20. She also can recognize her name when she sees it written somewhere. It is so comforting dropping your child off and knowing they are being well taken care of and getting love and attention and an education! I would recommend Under the Sun to anyone!

I am sorry that you had that experience if you had spoken to the Director she would have made sure that fresh fruit was offered. Any concern is always taken seriously and addressed immediately.

My child went to UTS for before and after school care. The center advertises that is provides nourishing food. This couldn't be further than the truth. For breakfast they provide straight sugar and dyes and chemicals. I am not exaggerating. They have rice krispie treats, chocolate doughnuts, sugar cereals, juice with added sugar and dye (the juice is BLUE) I have never seen a piece of fruit. I called to request more healthy breakfasts, the person I spoke to was very unconcerned. She said that when they offer fruit no one eats it, so they would rather the children eat something. I had to start bringing breakfast for my child, which is ridiculous since we are paying for them to provide food. My childcare options are limited, otherwise I would have not sent my child there.
