I have used this provider for more than 6 months

As a Registered Nurse and a mother, I uphold safety and professional communication at the top of my priorities.

It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review about Treetop. We really wanted to love Treetop, but a series of safety concerns, and unprofessional communication with the owner has made this an awful business to work with and to take care of my child.

We only sent our son to Treetop village for only a month.

In a span of a week my child was hit by a broom, two days later he was BITTEN and it tore blood (we left work to pick him up) and then a day later, he was left unsupervised on the monkey bars, fell, hit his chin on the ground and severely bit a HOLE into his tongue... resulting in a trip to the ER and again, us having to leave work.

What we were told was that my son was being helped by a teacher climbing on the monkey bars...when children next to her were in the midst of a “bitting situation” thus leaving my child UNSUPERVISED on the monkey bars to where he fell and bit a hole in his tongue.

Upon picking my child up, we withdrew from Hilltop giving the series of events and poor judgement. When someone is in a situation that could cause harm... you NEVER leave that situation to deal with another.

The owner, Katie, has been unprofessional and condescending in emails and continues to not respond to my in depth emails after her one response. She is refusing to give me a full refund, which is more than warranted.

We paid $1,170 on June 3. My son only attended school for five days in June, given the series of events. We withdrew our child due to negligence concerns and safety issues...the least the business could do is give us a refund. Especially after everything that has happened.

I would never recommend this day care to anyone. Not only do we have major safety concerns, but the unprofessionalism, lack of understanding and compassion from the owner is something no one should deal with in difficult situations.

They also do not give detailed reports of your child’s day, they use an app where they update what they do and eat through out the day. All of this is generic and not individualized. On the app, you can select to receive emails when your child’s day has been updated, and they would update how much he ate for snacks three hours in advance before that snack even happened.

We have sent our son to school before and we have never had any issues. If you want to feel supported and safe from your choice for day care/school for your child, you should 100% look elsewhere. This level of narcissism, blaming the victims of Katie's abuse, should never be tolerated when children lack a voice to speak up for themselves.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I'll start by saying, the majority of the teachers were really kind and this isn't all directed at them. If I could give this center less stars, I would.

My mom ended up taking in two of her grand children (less than 6 months and almost 1 yr and a half) in an immediate foster type situation. We explained this to the staff from day one. We went over the needs that we knew of and kept them up to date as we learned more (to start, the youngest (at less than 6 months) was severely malnourished and physically delayed).

When we arrived for the tour of the facility (prior to placing the children in their care), we should have seen the first red flag. The tour lasted nearly an hour and the only places we were able to see were two class rooms and the bulletin board. The lady giving the tour stopped and literally had to speak to EVERY SINGLE PERSON she passed by (including the delivery driver, who was just dropping off a parcel).

When I picked up the children after their first day, I noticed the youngest (the one who has struggled with malnourishment, which was told from day 1 to the staff) only had 2 five oz. bottles over the course of 8 hours! We had sent in five 5.5 oz. bottles at the beginning of the day and was sent home with three full, untouched bottles. When asked, the staff in the infant room was unfazed and shrugged it off like it was no big deal.

Half the lights on the infant side are broken. The babies sit halfway in the dark all day. There is no structure for naps. The six month old would maybe sleep for an hour total each day (20 minute naps here and there).

The older baby was sent home nearly every day with a new injury. I get it, he's a year and half old, there will be some scrapes and bruises, but something new everyday!? We were never notified of the majority of these, I had to press to get incident reports (I got at least 5 reports, way less than the amount of injuries he received). Documentation is especially important since they are foster type children. To note, he was sent home with bites, two black eyes, multiple scratches to cheeks, nose, forehead, arms, back, sides, etc. When asked about some of the incidents, the baby was blamed (oh, I think his nails are long and that's why (we had just trimmed his nails two days prior), he was itching his eczema, etc.).

Some people may love this place, but if you want your child fed and watched over, don't send them here.

As a provider for years, I have seen many learning centers. My 20 month old grandson and I absolutely love the Treetop Village Learning Center! Each time I drop him off he reaches out to his teacher with open arms. The staff are warm, helpful, and take their job seriously. We are very grateful for Melissa, his teacher, who has been so welcoming and helpful! A true teacher who cares about the children with an abundance of energy! My grandson LOVES that and seems to learn a new word everyday and happily sings songs when I pick him up. Thank u! I drive quite a distance each day just so my grandson can attend here.

I caution anyone who is looking for childcare do not go here especially if you are a military family using naccrra. I should have listened to the first red flag, they advertise they are approved with naccrra but they are not nationally accredited which is a requirement so they are not approved. To use them you have to get an exception and jump through hoops. Which to me is false advertising. 2nd red flag was when they decided to give my exclusively breast milk fed 4 month old water from the sink without consulting me at all, but I didn’t listen because they had a nice group of teachers at the time. My family had started there in April of this year it took 2 months (because they are not nationally accredited) for our naccrra to get approved so I was paying full price in the meantime. Well as soon as I got approved like most military families we moved our last day was July 3rd. When I got approved the naccrra program back paid them and in turn they should of paid me back. Which works if you are dealing with a reputable business and this is not. It has been almost 5 months of waiting and calling and frustration. Katie the director refuses to right the situation and owes my family a nice chunk of change. I am probably not the only one this business has stolen from. It’s a shame they are taking advantage of military programs to help families.

Send your child here at your own risk. The staff put on a good show for the tour but the level of care provided is not good. Very disorganized, poor curriculum, and the director is two-faced. Also way too expensive given the sub-par care.

This place is horrible!!!! They go through teachers like no ones business, there have been multiple reports and investigations that they put their hands on the children, they make them stay out side more than half the day in the rain and freezing cold weather. They send kids home with out reason and still make u pay while they are absent! This place is wrong! Do they even do back ground checks on their employees? They don’t even have a nurse on site, yet they diagnose kids with stuff. The Bremertons finest of riff raff
