The 1st reviewer is an upset drop-in client who is mis-stating facts, not to mention she signed an agreement  that states... Use of "Pay by the day" drop-in service does not constitute regularly contracted childcare. This agreement and registration will be kept will be kept on file at and will continue to constitute binding obligation for any future visits my child may make. This agreement does not obligate the Childcare home to continue to provide services;provider reserves the right to refuse admission to any child for any reason and at anytime without liability.

There were issues with her child and it did effect the regular full-time families... when one is faced with loosing all the regular clients over the stress of a little girl that was not even in care 7 days over the span of a month I did what was needed; to be fair it was short notice, however I was not given the new complaints until the evening before the child was to visit. I texted originally instead of calling because I was taking a class  at the time - one which her husband interrupted by calling and to telling me off and then stating he understood my position. I believe the parents are going overboard when they feel the need to hunt down every website this childcare is listed on in less than a week to cpmplain... ask any parent that attends full-time what the real story is and I bet you'll hear a different tale

I have a signed agreement stating parents understood ALL TERMS and POLICIES, that care was never guaranteed and that families would not cause emotional harm to the childcare for anreason because it is not regular childcare but DROP_IN. I am sorry I did not have time to give more notice, and that things had gone done differently, but the loss of $500week guaranteed  for a $30 drop-in to me is a no brainer

Parents are told from the start to have a BACK UP in cases childcare is unavailable

While in principle Tir na Nog is a great daycare providing a small home environment with healthy foods and stimulating activities, our experience with the person running it means we cannot recommend the service.

We had about 7 days of care for our 12mo. old daughter, who had never been in daycare before.  As such, she was very needy and had trouble adapting to the change.  We were concerned about this but the provider indicated that this was normal and gave little indication of any problem.  We tried to help with the change by using some of the same techniques and schedule the provider used at our home. However, our contract was cancelled with as little as 12 hours notice, by text message.  The reason given, in paraphrase, was that some parents had complained that our daughters' needy behavior was rubbing off on their children and as such our contract had to be terminated immediately.  The day we were cancelled was the first any parent had complained.  When we called, bemused at our sudden cancellation, we were treated to a verbal onslaught and had a hard time having a calm conversation or even getting a word in edgeways.

In fairness, we can understand the difficulty of helping a child new to daycare adapt on a part-time basis and with small infants in the home who need special attention.  Had we been extended the same courtesy of 24 hours notice that the provider asks for in their contract, we could have perhaps moved on amicably and with thanks.  Instead, we weren't even treated to the decency of a phone call.  We were dumped, with little care for the fact we had no time to arrange alternative care.
