As Director, I learned that the maximum group size is only double the ratio. We had grouped the children into three, per the three staff persons present. When asked to name our "group," we needed only to name our third. We have made this more obvious by having primary caregiver cards available throughout the center, the staff wear caribiners with cards that have the childrens' pictures and names on them that they are responsible for.
