I have been in and around the childcare industry for over seven years ever since my mother opened up a home daycare in Austin many years ago. Since then, I have had the privilege of obtaining my BS in Communications, marrying my college sweetheart, having my sweet son, and opening up my own home daycare. I was lucky to be introduced to the world of Montessori many years ago by BCS' very own Ms. Lydia (now retired; former owner of the Montessori Schoolhouse for over 25 years).
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, I obtained my AMS certification and never looked back. This philosophy really teaches us (as teachers) the psychology of children, the amazing capabilities they have, and how we can help them to flourish to their fullest potential. I am so thrilled to get the opportunity to meet the children of Bryan/College Station. I can't wait to teach and help develop these wonderful individuals to have inquisitive minds and create a love for learning.

I enthusiastically recommend The Family Montessori. My daughter thrives on the rich and varied Montessori curriculum including lessons in language, mathematics, geography, science, culture, art, yoga, Spanish, and character education. She absolutely loves learning. In addition, she is learning not only how to be a good leader and care for others but why these are important qualities. The school is well organized with clear rules and regulations, tidy classrooms that are cleaned every day and a shaded, newly renovated (up to code) playground. The teachers are well-trained and participate in on-going educational opportunities. The staff clearly love children and communicate easily and regularly with parents. I am very thankful that my daughter has the chance to attend this outstanding school.
