Description: The development of self-discipline is a basic part of our curriculum. We instruct our children on the common rules of courtesy, respect and etiquette and teach them communication and conflict resolution skills. Our goal is to help the children become self-disciplined.
When a behavior problem arises, we remind the children of the particular rule governing their actions and encourage them to “think about it and talk it over”. If the misbehavior is extreme the child will be taken out of the class until he/she regains control. All steps will be carried out in a firm, but respectful and loving manner.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

At first my daughter loved going to this school. Then all of a sudden she hated it. "Teacher" Brandy and Shantel are awful and have no business being around kids. I made some observations in the classroom by spending hours there throughout the week at different times of the day. They belittle the kids, and do not smile when they are there. They are very negative towards the children and are constantly reminding the kids what they cannot do. They bark orders all day and do not encourage the kids in any way. When a conflict between the kids arises instead of positive redirection they are made to feel dumb for the incident, instead of taking advantage of the learning opportunity that was presented. The younger kids get bullied by the older ones (binkies get pulled out forcefully or/and they are pushed down), this is not always seen by the teacher and then the crying child is told to stop crying. I walked in early one day, Shantel didn't hear me come in - because the door bell was broken. She was yelling at my daughter, my daughter was in tears. When I asked her if she was yelling at her she said no that she was talking to another kid. I asked her then why she was crying and she tried to stutter out an answer. She should not have been talking to any child like that. I immediately asked her to gather my daughters things and told her that she would not be returning. I then asked her for her boss' name and phone number. She walked away then brought the information to me on a post it. When I called I got a fax machine. I was appalled that she tried to prevent me from making the call. They only have 2 teachers there for a couple of hours in the day, which is not enough to watch and care for the children. The rest of the time it's just 1 of them trying to care for these sweet kids. It is apparent that the children's feelings are not priority to either Brandy or Shantel which can be detrimental for a child's long term self-esteem and development. I spoke with the director Marta (found her contact information on Google) and she said she would talk to them. I am thankful that I listened to my daughters ques that helped me see that I was sending her to an unhealthy environment.
