Description: Teachers at St. Paul Preschool Program consider the age and development of the children in their class and try to emphasize growth in all areas (physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual) when planning and implementing activities. Although play is a major tool used in teaching children, teachers also provide more structured learning time through activities such as circle time and learning centers. We introduce songs, reading, writing, and social skills such as sharing and respecting others. This is all done with regard to the age of the child. Theme-based activities introduce children to a variety of topics in an age-appropriate, timely manner.
Along with classroom activities and outside time, children in our program will have the opportunity to learn how to sit in worship. On Wednesdays, we gather in the Sanctuary for a fifteen minute, chapel time. Here the children learn to sit quietly together on the pews. They also learn inspirational, yet fun, songs about Jesus and the Bible.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
