I have used this provider for more than 6 months
This daycare is amazing! The women that are taking care of the children are all very caring and polite. My daughter never wants to leave. She is treated very well and always sings songs on the ride back home! And she wants to her homework all by HERSELF!! I am very satisfied with this daycare! I recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a great education experience for your child!
This is not an appropriate daycare for children. I recently had a loss in the family and asked my fiancé to come with me to pick up my son at the daycare. I just didn’t feel like talking to anyone. The elementary school was having an early dismissal; I thought the children would be there. However the children had not gotten off the school bus. My fiancé came back to the car with papers for me to sign. I asked him to place the papers in the back seat of the car I didn’t feel up to looking over the papers today. We returned later to try again to pick up my son. A teacher by the name of Nicole approached my fiancé asking for the papers. He explained to her I had not had the opportunity to look over the papers and he would go get papers from the car. He also explained to Nicole I would come in on another day and go over the papers. Nicole told him no and she was going to get the papers herself. She approached my car banging on the window for me to roll it down. She rudely asked me to sign the papers. I told her no I was not going to sign papers I have not read. Then she continued to yell at me, she was not supposed to let people take the papers from the building. I understood and I was willing to let her take the papers back in the building. I stated I would come in on a different day to go over papers. I also explained I did not like her coming in to the parking lot attacking me in my car. She had no idea why I did not want to talk to anyone, she invaded my space, and insulted me in front of my child. She stated people like me think we can do whatever we want. What did she mean people like me? I am a mother. The following Monday I went in to the papers. The owner of the daycare said “ Miss. Xxxx I need to talk to you in my office”; treating me as a child. First she asked me for my payment then told me I needed to find another place for my child to be dropped off. Much more was said during the scolding. If they treat the parents so disrespectfully how do they treat the children? I changed daycares only because this one was closer to where I live, but I will drive the extra 7 miles to Mt. Pocono to a daycare that I know is both respectful to the parents and children. I had gone there for the past 4 years never had an issue like this. Pocono Mt. Kids Village located in Mt. Pocono is a good option instead of this place. I am a very displeased parent this is not an ad for another daycare.
This daycare has the parents fill out a form for Child/Adult Food Program which requires us to give our income and Social Security information. The day care stated this information is required by the Department of Pennsylvania Welfare. I refused to fill out the form because they are not a Federal or State Agency. They suspended my child from attending their day care. I contacted State regarding this matter and was told this is not policy, that they spoke to the center regarding this change and my child can still attend if I desire. After having this unpleasant experience I refuse to have anything to do with this day care. I wasn't even given a courtesy call apologizing for their mistake! I understand the need for suspending a child if they are disruptive or violent towards the other children and/or staff but to suspend a child because the parent has the right to refuse to submit confidential information and they weren't aware of this!!!
I would not use this daycare. There is 1 bathroom for all the kids and staff to share. How would you like your child to have to hold it in and wait???? There is only 1 room that is broken up with partitions for all the different age groups. So you have an infant in the same room as an older child that might throw something. The playground is small and not separated for different age groups. Is this the place you want your kids in?????
I have read these reviews and I am disgusted that people would go as far as trying to harm this business in such a malicious way. This Day Care is dedicated to giving the best care possible, it is family oriented and all teachers are certified in CPR, First Aid, AED and Fire Safety. All the staff take great pride in caring for the children as if they were their own! These people: yekaterina tarkovsky and anya donmartin have taken it upon themselves to try to SABOTAGE this daycare in order to obtain progress into their own business! By bad mouthing a business that has been taking care of children in the community for many years . It is pitiful to see that this is what it comes to. They should try to earn the respect of the community by hard work and dedication not false accusations. Visit Pocono Kids Daycare and see with your own eyes what this facility is really about.
It is a little sad that people need to talk bad about this daycare ms. Nicole (myself) is very well qualified to take care of children and has been for many years all of my students love me and learn a lot from this daycare If u want to take a challenge come on over and see for yourself
ALL PARENTS MUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!!! I have had a terrible experience at that day care. My four year old son complained to me everyday that teachers kept on yelling at him all day long. One day, I left him in there, and stepped outside onto parking lot to get into my car. As I was driving towards the road I saw my son run out of day care center UNATTENDED and running after my car. I got out of the car and went back inside with him. They did not even notice that he was outside. I took his things and stormed out. Their owner does not know what is going on because she is not there full time. Her so called manager, Nicole, should not be allowed to work with kids at all. She was the one who did not notice that my son was gone and as per my son, she used to yell at him. When I spoke to the owner, Lucy, that same day over the phone, she came up with an excuse that it was very busy that morning and that is the reason they did not see my son missing. I don't care if it was busy, WHICH WAS NOT BY THE WAY, Nicole clearly lied to protect herself, when I leave my child with them, I have to know for sure that he is safe. That place is not safe at all. Everybody walks around with their shoes on, adults and kids, in the same room where children are playing. I see it as health hazardous. Bacteria must be everywhere!!!!! WORST DAY CARE CENTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
