Description: Little Steps Learning Center was just established in December of 2011. The center is an LLC , operated by Wayne and Melanie Shoudt. It is located next to the Lexington Care Center. The director, Melanie Shoudt has been serving the area for 20 years. She has been working in the childcare field for 24 years. She owned and operated Stepping Stones Child Care Center (Lexington) and Stepping Stones Learning Center(Higginsville). She is currently attending college at Park University, where she will obtain her Bachelor degree in Social Psychology. The center is state licensed for 38 children. The center is licensed for 16 infant and toddlers,and has a preschool classroom licensed for 22. The child care center has a partnership with Head Start, and follows Head Start Performance Standards. The lead teachers are working to obtain their CDA's ( Child Development Associate) and all the teachers are mandated to ongoing training. The center strives to be the best, and provide quality child care.
