Our son has been going here since late January of this year and has been bitten 16 times total and nothing has been done. I have requested a set in talk more than once with the manager and have never received a reply or a date to do so. Today 10:24/ 22 I had picked up my son early from daycare and the 3 hours he was there he had two fresh bite marks on him from two different mouths. I was not notified while checking my son out I had to return to the facility after noticing the bite marks to ask about them and the incident and then was told yes he was bit. Incident report stated that both parents had been notified on the incident report and neither one of us had been. Since January 2022 our son has been bit 16 times total and nothing has been done to correct it or to fix the issue. Worst facility I've ever encountered in my life poor management very neglectful. Management is done by a child who ignores and brushes everything under the rug even when notified about reporting them. Would not recommend even for an animal thank you.
My kids have gone here for a few years now and honestly I should have pulled them out sooner for some of the crap they pulled. Most recently, A kid told my daughter yesterday that he was going to SHOOT her if she didn't shut up. The daycare did not inform the other kids parents, did not separate my daughter and put her on the other bus, frankly did not do anything about the issue he except split them up by 2 seats on the same bus. I asked the manager later in the afternoon what they did do and she essentially told me they did nothing. The she started getting snippy with me saying things like, "what do you want me to do, I'm not going to kick the kid out." She was rude and when I called her on it, she raised her voice to me, so I told her off. I then sat in the parking lot and even though she told me to leave, I called the cops and informed them of the situation. My kids will be getting a new daycare tomorrow, and I will never bring my kids back here .Phyllis should be fired for how she treats not only the staff but the parents as well. I frequently come in to her yelling at the staff and it's outrageous. I honestly feel bad for some of the good ones who work there. Also my kids would come home complaining about mean teachers and unfairness daily. My kids are pretty honest, but they're are kids, so take that as you may, but i wouldn't suggest taking your kid here if you want them to learn trust, respect, or that an adult will help them in a time of need.
I truly would like to give this facility 1 star, the sole reason as to why I gave it 2 stars is because of the Infant and Toddler teachers. They were fantastic with my 18 month old son, He learned so much from them. However once he transition to the toddler room we have had nothing but problems. My son is sent home each day with at least 2-3 incident reports a day whether that be self inflicted accidents or something that is caused by another child. Yes I am aware that children especially toddlers are rowdy and are prone to accidents. I am a parent who is fully aware of that. BUT what I do not understand is how my child comes home several times a month with busted lips, bites marks on several areas on his body, and its not noted the only issues that are ever noted are if he bites other children. UNACCEPTABLE. Once, my husband and I addressed this issue the Director of the Needmore location she was mildly understanding, though after our concerns were expressed she no longer acknowledges us or, our child the entire staff except a select 2-3 employees are extremely RUDE! We pay too much to this facility to have be treated this way. Also Since my child began attending JFK in September 2016 he has been sick CONSTANTLY, snotty noses and coughs are apart of daycare, other illnesses are not, if they are cleaning and disinfecting properly. Also A FYI They change their policies according to the child it seems. When we first started at this center is was 3 bites in 1 day would result in not being able to come back for 24 hours. Now it has gradually turned into 1 bite one day and 2 bites another day results in 24 hr removal from the center. But please be sure to always have a back up plan for your child at all time because this center like to call you at 7:30 pm to let you know that your child may not come in the next day because the can not seem to keep track of incident reports, and let us know prior the same day when we were in the building at 4:30 that same day. Which is extremely inconvenient for families especially Military dual working parent. Majority of military families do not have many resources for back up child care.
This facility will only provide the minimum care. Only a handful of staff actually cares for the children. Constant sick children. Curriculum consists of children running around.
