It has taken me a minute to decide if I should respond to this fabricated story that this parent has written against my business and childcare ethics. As a Christian; we are often challenged by the evil deeds of people but at some point we must address issues and try and clarify any deceptive accusations that may have been made against us in wisdom and in forgiveness. 1. Notice the creative way that this comment has been written. This parent states; that she (signed/enrolled) her child in my childcare without knowing the hours of operation. What parent enrolls their infant baby in a childcare, without knowing one of the most important things (hours of operation). As a self-employed childcare provider; it is my choice to set my own hours as long as I can accommodate those parents who can accept the hours of operation. There is no written policy of times childcare facilities must stay open in operation. But as an incentive to my working parents who cannot afford high-priced childcare fees, I offer working parents and students with children a lesser rate of $120.00 per week for 8 hours of childcare; which is the agreement I made with this parent who came to me stating she could not afford the prices of other childcare facilities . To help this parent, I agreed to keep her (3 month) old baby for $130.00 a week as long she only needed 8 hours of care. The parent stated that the hours worked well for her because her mother or the baby’s father would be able to pick the infant up for the price I offered her. The first week went well and I kept the parent posted of her baby’s daily activities, accomplishments and concerns. 2. Secondly, this parent states that I am sneaky, crazy and unprofessional. Well here’s why…what she really should have said was, I was on top of her deceptive, cunning game she attempted to pull over on me. After enrolling her child in my childcare as a self-pay; a few days later she was granted a grant by CCRI- Childcare Resources. This grant allowed her to have free childcare for 3 months which is a Government funded program for working parents. Instead of coming to me and being honest with me, by simply saying she would like to withdraw her child, now that she has 3 months of free care and put the child in a childcare with longer hours, she lied to me. After giving me the CCRI vouchers; she came back and asked for them back; stating she needed to take them back to CCRI so they could explain to her the procedure because they had not told her anything about the program she was granted. Because I have worked with CCRI for 8 years, I knew she was being dishonest, so I called her case worker to find out what was really going on since it was time for her to pay her childcare fees. The case worker informed me that all parents are fully informed of the program the day they sign up for it. The case worker also told me that the parent came in early the next morning and without any explanation she requested that my childcare name be removed from the voucher and another childcare name be replaced. Because I had not yet signed the voucher, the parents request was granted. The reason I had not signed the voucher, is because she gave it to me at 4:00pm on Thursday evening and came back by early Friday morning at 7:30am to pick them back up. Had I signed them, she would not have been able to terminate her childcare without first giving me a one week notice which is all I required. 3. In my closing, the parent was able to move the child immediately without paying her last week’s fee of $130.00 and without giving me a one-week notice which is written in my parent handbook she signed and agreed to. Three days later this parent the parents mother called me asking me if she could come by and get the babies pampers and favorite blanket. I responded by saying yes you may come by and get the babies belongings as long as you bring the $130.00 childcare fee your daughter left owing my business. I never heard from her again. 4. You may choose to believe what this parent is fabricating and deceitfully trying to imply, But I pray you can read between the lines and realize that angry people use these sites because these comments and accusations are never investigated, they are simply venting stations that allow people to lie with no accountability. I have been in childcare for 17 years and have owned my own childcare center for 8 years. In my own childcare I have cared for more than 145 children and not one child has been abused, mishandled, seriously injured or mistreated in my care. I love children and understand the safety and well-being of each child. Thank you for your time! Marsha
This lady is very crazy and unprofessional. She is sneaky and if you change childcare centers on her she will get upset. The service was very poor my child was teething and had stool on her clothing. Even though a change of clothes were provided she stayed in her dirty clothes. Also the provider is not compassionate in regards to kids not being on a schedule and not taking well to nap time. Hours should be between 7:30 and 5:30...well hours are very inconvient 8:00 to 4:30. This was not told when signing child up! This lady is not the childcare provider for your child! She even kept my childs diapers wipes and favorite blankets because i pulled her from the center and refused to give back!!!
