The racism from this place’s director is astounding. She first made racist remarks to a 10 year old girl whose welfare I care about deeply, then when the poor girl cried to her stepfather about how the director’s words impacted her, this obviously racist woman not only defended her words to the stepfather who calmly addressed this infuriating situation, but also followed up by lying that he had been threatening toward her and banning him from picking up his children in the future. Now, to me, without addressing that telling such lies on a black man in this social climate is tantamount to attempted murder, this seems like a racist who wants the freedom to continue being wildly racist to children with impunity. These are friends who feel like family, and due to their treatment, not only will I not be using this facility in the future, I recommend anyone not trying to raise a future Klansman or Nazi (or see their POC children abused by the like) avoid it as well.
Staff come off as very inappropriate. When questioned about the lack of diversity in their facility (among employees and children they're charged with), and about the material they were showing the kids, I was met with blank stares and confusion.
I was thoroughly disappointed to read that the director of this Center, Kristina, handled herself in such an inappropriate and racist way, contrary to what anyone who has ever studied childhood education knows full well. Children should never be compared, one to another. Further, suggesting that Roderick’s step-daughter dancing on TikTok had any implications for her future, *and* saying that she was convinced her own daughter would be more successful than Roderick’s little girl is absolutely ridiculous. Then, suggesting that Roderick behaved in a way that can be so readily disproved is shameful at best.
Roderick and his step-daughter deserve an apology, at the very least, and his right to pick up his step-children when his family demands require him to do so, must be reinstated immediately. Child care is a demanding profession, but bad behavior of employees (and the director!) canNOT be tolerated.
Absolutely horrible establishment. This business needs to be shut down immediately for endangering our children. I’ve seen signs of both physical and mental abuse to my own and a few other friends who’ve brought their children in. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE FOR CHILDREN
STAFF NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED IMMEDIATELY
