A MAD MOM ! Oct 31, 2020
I have used this provider for less than 6 months

First thing first . Michelle is such a dishonest person she got my first review removed by stating she didn’t know who I was .. SO HERE I AM AGAIN . Do Not send your child to this Daycare ! I BEG YOU ! Michelle is such a mean and nasty person to deal with and my biggest fear was I hope she wasn't like this behind behind closed doors with my son ? ... and my fears were sadly confirmed when my now 4 year old was being enrolled in school , I told him .. and his first response was “ I do not want to go back there ! I had no clue what he was talking about being that this is a public school that he’s never even seen .. FAST FORWARD My son started public school and his TEACHER emailed me on 10/9 she stated “ I’m concerned about some interactions that may have taken place between your son and a person by the name of Michelle ” because my son stated to her on serval occasions “ he hates her” “ “she’s a mean teacher” and “ he plucked her “ I have PROOF of all these emails and just wished there was a way we can post PHOTO REVIEWS ! Michelle plucked my son who at the time of attending her daycare didn’t talk CLEAR ! But now HE’S telling all ! She traumatized my son to the point where he tells his now teacher she’s nicer than Ms Michelle on almost a daily basis ( HER WORDS VIA EMAIL ) If you like to give your hard earned money for someone who doesn’t care about your child go ahead . YES , she feeds them .. YES , she provides basic in home care , but NO she will not treat your kid(s) how you do . Period !

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child has been attending DC Family Group Daycare since 6 weeks old and now my child is 9 years old. If there is anyone that I would refer to other parents, that would be Michelle. At first, I was very nervous leaving my baby that small at the daycare but as the years went on, we have grown to love Michelle and her staff. My child no longer attends the daycare due to change in location but whenever school is out for summer or holiday recess, we make our way right over to Michelle. She is so genuine even after the trouble I gave her from being nervous. I highly recommend her daycare.

As a new mother looking for someone to care for your child when you decide to go back to work becomes the longest and hardest decision. Once I found Michelle I automatically knew my daughter would be in good hands. Ever since my daughter has been going to DC family group daycare there hasn't been a day that I worried if my child was in good hands. I've recommended her to all my friends and family. This is definitely a daycare that I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I am an active parent at DC Family Group Daycare as a young parent and Michelle has been nothing but supportive and helpful. She tries her absolute best to accommodate myself and my child with the best care. I am new to being a parent and the daycare lifestyle and I absolutely love sending my child here. Michelle cares for my child as her own and whenever I need her outside of daycare hours, she is always available whether it is for advice or just to talk so to come on here and see others writing such horrible reviews is absolutely repulsive. All I have to say is that Michelle, her great assistants, and her daycare as a whole have been a great experience for my spouse and I.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Our experience with DC Family daycare was not anything to write about. On couple of occasion when our daughter was pickup we found bruises on her and on one occasion when my wife pick her up, her left eye had a blood contrusion. She asked what happened, she mention that she had her all day nothing happened. she chalked it down to pink eye or bacteria. the following day we took her to the doc and she confirm that it was indeed blood contrusion cause from something hitting her in eye. In a daycare we know accidents happen but for her not to know anything is borderline negligent

I Michelle Pelzer would like to address this review that Aulton And Kedra Hampden put up regarding their daughter Kai-Zoe. It states in this review that their daughter was picked up with bruises on several occasions however that’s a blatant Lie. This couple stays at the facility for at least an extra 30 minutes each day doing a full body check on their daughter if any bruises was found, they would of addressed it, which never once did they do that. This child started the daycare on 09/30/19 at the age of 5 months old. If I had a baby in a daycare and she was being picked up with bruises I would of pulled my child out immediately. The child was dropped off at daycare on 10/17/19 by the mother crying saying to me that the baby fell off of her bed and hit her head on the floor on 10/16/20 and she wanted us to watch out all day to make sure that she isn’t hurt and to call them immediately if we see anything wrong. On 10/22/20 the mother again dropped the child off to the daycare and the mother was crying and very worried again and stated the child fell off of her bed again on 10/21/20 and hit her head on the floor and that she was scared and hoped nothing was wrong with the baby however we are the negligent ones. On 1/29/20 mother complained to me that the child came home and her tee shirt was drenched in milk from her neck to her stomach and wanted me to explained what happened, I explained to her that it’s impossible for her to come home like that because she is a baby and she is held while being fed, and how come when you did your body check you didn’t notice her tee shirt was wet as you stated. On 2/25/20 mother called my cell phone around 7:30 pm stating that her father saw a bump on the baby forehead so I asked her to please send me a picture and she stated to me that the picture won’t show it because it’s over her eyebrows, and you have to feel it in order to know it’s there. When the child was dropped off the next morning I ask to show me the bump and she said it was gone. However after these 2 complaints she continued to bring the baby. On March 6, 2020 this is when the problem with the red eye started. I gave the baby to the mother to do a body check and after she was done with the body check I stepped away while she was fighting with the baby to get her coat on. When the mother was finished putting the child coat on she called out to me, and when I stepped back into the room the mother had the baby up in the air looking in her face and she stated to me that in the corner of Kai eye is red what happened to her so I asked her to lay the baby down so I could see exactly what she was speaking about. I didn’t noticed it at first until she turned her head to the side so I could see the red in her eye. I did say to her when I gave her to you I didn’t notice any redness in her eye However I hope she isn’t getting the pink eye. I am not blaming the mother for anything but she has very long nails and in the mist of her fighting to get the coat on, she could of accidentally poke the child in the eye but since she saw it here at the daycare she is blaming us. Our staff at DC Family writes up incident report if we need to no matter how small it is. We would never hide anything from a parent. I asked the parent to please let me know if her eye gets better over the weekend but she never called me. On 03/09/20 the parent came to dropped the child off and the first thing she said i took Kai-Zoe to the doctor and she had a blood vessel bust and i didn’t call you because if I did you and I would of gotten into it. The mother never gave me a doctor’s note to prove to me what happened to the child. However she was dropping her child off anyway to us. I took the child and looked at her eye and her eye wasn’t red anymore. The mother was out of control she was yelling and screaming at me in front of another parent so I said to her that i think you need to find another daycare for your child to attend. I just had enough because this parent made all my employees un easy when they came to pick up the child so on 03/09/20 It was just exhausting and I had to ask her to leave. It took them until June 18, 2020 to post that we are negligent it’s amazing. DC Family has 16 children enrolled in our program and most of them have been here since they were infants and not once we were told that we were negligent to any children. We at DC Family wish them the best in their new Daycare.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I just want to say that DC Family Group Daycare is exceptional. The graduation that this facility had for the pre schoolers in June 2017 was amazing. The children love Mrs Pelzer and her staff. I just want to say my child cries on the weekend to go to daycare and the daycare is closed on the weekend. For my child to behave in this manner, that says a lot to me. I will recommend this facility anytime. Great facility, great staff, clean facility and the potty training is fantastic. My child was fully potty trained by the age two. Thank you, Thank you Mrs Pelzer and your staff for a job well done, and taking great care of my pride and joy. We the Francis Family love you guys. One more thing when the children entered into pre K they were so advance in school. It’s amazing. My child is in a gifted class in kindergarten because of DC Family Group Daycare. Thank You. We Love You Guys. Keep up the fantastic work.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

It is with high regards and thankfulness I am writing this review on DC Family Group Day Care. Our baby attended the day care for three years before we relocated and we felt very conferrable and pleased with the service provided. Mrs Pelzer, and her assistants provides a kind, loving, nurturing, educational environment that spurs the children's growth happily. Our child was always cleaned, fed on a timely schedule and always smiling. For me, it was a pleasing gift at pick-up time after a long/hard of work to see the smiles and hear the laughter from the children playing at DC Family Group Day Care. In addition, we received important helpful tips from Mrs. Pelzer to enhanced our parental skills in caring for our child. I highly recommend DC Family Group Day Care for their outstanding care not just to the children who receive excellent care, but the family as a whole.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We the Francis family currently have 2 children that attends DC Family group daycare and our children love attending this daycare. When your children wakes up on a Saturday morning and starts dressing themselves thinking that they are going to daycare that makes us as parents feel so safe that our children is being taken care of the right way. Our children actually cries at home because they can't go to daycare and see Mrs. Pelzer and Ms Audrey. DC Family teaches our children, and the homework doesn't stop coming home. Our 18 month old is almost fully potty trained and our 3 year old was fully potty trained at the age 2 and could write letters at that age. We as parents are so grateful that we chose the right facility to care for our precious joy. Thank you Mrs Pelzer and your staff for a great job well done.
