HORRIBLE Dec 08, 2020
I am an employee

The owner does not care about the kids all she cares about is the money. She treats her employees horrible and has employees working there while having open cases with cyfd who test positive for doing drugs working with the children.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I wanted to add my Review, which I normally do not do, because I see several negative Reviews and wanted to share my positive experience with Count Your Blessings.

I am a Foster Mother of four kiddos and have found Count Your Blessings to be amazing. They understand the challenges of foster care for the children and the adults and have been nothing but supportive. I had a situation in which my 8 year old, who had recently been discharged from a residential program, actually physically attacked her teacher during a school break. The staff was professional and courteous, even with regard to this difficult experience.

I think the agency might be under new management from the earlier Reviews, but wanted to say that I feel my kiddos are being very well taken care of, the learning environment is clean and interesting without too much stimulation, the providers are courteous, positive, and engaging with the children. And everyone has been super patient and helful.

The only reason I am not giving a 5 is because my kiddos have only been going since last week.

Count Your Blessings has been a great environment for both of my children! When Jelly Bean junction was in business my son attended, and we were satisfied ! Although there were times that he'd cry that he did not want to stay or that he had a bad day. With the closure of jelly bean I was an upset parent. We had to find a personal sitter that cost more and would take our son everywhere with her which I was uncomfortable with because she would drive him around in inclement weather and with many other children. Luckily Count Your Blessings opened its doors! My husband and I enrolled our son & we were extremely happy with the outcome! He enjoys being there! He is learning! Interacting with kids his age ! And he treats his teachers as family and that is how they treat him! With the birth of our second child, our daughter, our biggest concern was how our son would adjust to being a big brother! The teachers worked one on one with our son to help us prepare him for brotherhood. And they treat all the kids the same tending to their needs and individuality of each child! Our daughter attends and loves her teachers in the baby room! I know she is just a small baby but her "teacher" is great about talking to me about her development and questions or concerns that she or I may have about the baby's lifestyle changes, etc.. Our family is very pleased with Count Your Blessings! We truly appreciate all of the "teachers" and staff who help in the care for our children! In regards to having to pay for daycare, Count Your Blessings was moderately priced & regardless of if the rates are outrageous we would still have our children attend because they are age, happy, and well taken care of! At one point we applied for daycare assistance thru the state and were denied because my husband and I made too much to qualkify for assistance but in reality we weren't making but a little over to get bye. The daycare director herself helped us with making a payment plan and was very understanding in our situation and has made every effort to help us keep our children there! Daycare centers in Albuquerque will not allow your children to attend until payment was collected or caught up to date, that was not the case here! She cares and works with us when needed! # ThankYouCountYourBlessings#

Don't Do IT! Sep 23, 2014

Same owner as Jelly Bean, still only focused on money and not the kids. Unprofessional and is just a daycare. This is not a preschool! Save your time and money go somewhere else.

Need facts Aug 12, 2014

I see one positive review and two other reviews focus on money, not so much the care they provide. Most preschools/daycare do not give refunds and require two week pay in advance. They seem very flexible. So to get to the point how was the care they provided to your children? Did they like it, was there concerns? let's focus on what matters the caregiving. How about updates to your reviews so people can be more informed about the choice.

New Experience Jul 29, 2014

We have had a great experience with this preschool and appreciate it very much in our community. It is clean, well maintained and so far everyone, including the owner have been great to work with. The staff at the daycare, in particular the infant room has extensive experience and have been fantastic. I have dealt with all the other daycare/preschools in the Estancia Valley, some in ABQ and Santa Fe and would not send our child to any other daycare in the area.

horribly run Feb 03, 2014

01/24/14

Something struck me as odd when I was interviewing the owner. She had previously shut down the preschool and reopened under a different name. She shut the doors on several parents without informing them. With that said this is still how she runs her business. The children should come first unfortunately this is not the case. I have had my child there for months and I've always paid well in advance. For some reason she's still not happy. I have paid extra to keep my child late, three times, however I picked my child up half a day early,I never received credit. Perhaps she picks apart every parent until they leave or perhaps it's because she lacks the professionalism, and courtesy it takes to run a successful business. There s a parent handbook however the rules change on a daily basis. If the person that wrote it cannot follow it. how do you expect the parents to follow it? In closing do your parent interviews if something seems off or just not right it probably is. I have never seen such abusive behavior and neglect, I promptly took my child out of there.

jelly bean Jan 08, 2014

This is the same owner as Jelly Bean Junction. How dare she rip all of those people off, collect their fees and then close; then re-open under a different name.
