Can you explain to me the definition of a “burden” because that’s what the staff at Charlotte’s Web said about a child. They also made the mother leave work to come pick up the burden child. This is so unprofessional, and I have no problem airing out the dirty laundry. Your Facebook page says “we are accepting “infants” if a one year old was a “burden” I would hate to see what kind of burden an infant would bring to this nursery, and daycare.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll continue passing on the word to other mothers and parents just how big of a “burden” a one year old child is, because he was crying.

**WARNING: DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!**Take the time to read, it’s important. This preschool is not compassionate towards children. We recently found out our child has a hearing disability that needs surgery. My child’s hearing issues has resulted in speech issues which in turn can cause behavior that isn’t perfect and aggressive in their eyes. Hello this is a medical disability! Does my child thankfully understand a little for what they can actually hear yes, but lack of proper hearing and ways to communicate brings forth resistance and frustration in a child. They can not read and write yet so if they can not communicate effectively due to hearing loss, how do you expect a child to act in order for them to communicate?! They use actions and behaviors to try to get their point across. If you can’t hear well, you talk louder for example. Fabricating a story that parents are complaining regularly which I find odd that I didn’t hear about sooner just does not add up. Instead, be truthful and say your staff does not have the expertise to handle a child with delays and disabilities. I have voiced that we are getting our child help professionally and that it will take our child time. They clearly do not have time to wait. I go to pick my child up and most of the time they are playing nicely with other children or sitting and looking through a book. Sounds like a real horrible child to me. His teacher even told me “He is truly a good and nice kid, but when he has his moments he has his moments.” Who doesn’t?! Adults have moments too?! This is mostly normal behavior and development for a 2-3 year old. Removing a child out of care due to a disability isn’t right and discriminatory. Their expectations for children in this age range is unrealistic. My child is not a monster, and it is very unkind to single out someone who can’t hear well. There were not parental complaints, I don’t believe that for one minute?! The teacher was the only one complaining because she did not know what to do with a child like mine. My suggestion to this preschool would be hire staff who have graduated with degrees in child education and development at minimum. They use mainly young college students who probably don’t even have children of their own. I’m surprised management doesn’t have the education to know the difference between a child with actual behavioral issues and those who have a disability which causes behaviors that aren’t always accepted in order to function the best they can. It was my mistake in thinking this place would be a good fit for my child. Daycares and preschools are scarce in Owensboro or full due to the town being mainly a family household with more than three kids. This facility knows that someone else is waiting to fill a seat daily so they don’t care. This situation isn’t personal, it’s the principle of the matter. Reviews are important and I don’t think you should take this lightly even if your child is healthy and well. Charlotte’s Web Preschool and their management and owner should be ashamed! Parents it will be worth it to you to wait for a better facility even if it takes more time to get your child in elsewhere. Trust me, there are better preschools out there. Don’t waste investing in a facility that has no compassion for children and proper staff and management to better cater to children’s needs.
