Mother of a water baby May 28, 2015
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I've sent my child to Bright Stars at water babies since she was 4 months old. The teachers are very loving and establish a warm atmosphere for the children. The graduates leave this center reading which is uncommon. They focus heavily on academics. They give homework as early as the three year old room. Homework includes coloring letters, connect the dots, counting worksheets etc. our children are prepared for kindergarten no question. Additionally they have a great summer program at no additional cost. Favorite teachers include ms farideh, ms Tina, ms Tiffany, ms Jenity, ms Neffie, the list goes on and on. The owner is responsive. No center is perfect but when I have experienced issues, the owner has taken my concerns seriously and kept me informed of the steps to avoid recurrence. Love it.

Dreadful place May 18, 2014

Do your child a huge favor and place him anywhere but this daycare. They are lax about following state mandated rules for care and provide sub par education. The owner is not willing to listen to any parent feedback.

stacy Jun 27, 2013

Prior to her 2nd birthday, we walked in on a Friday to pic up my daughter who had been attending Bright Stars at Water Babies since she was about 6 weeks old. I was then told that the school would no longer allow her to attend. She had become a chronic biter. We were not warned and were given no administrative paperwork advising us to a course of action. We were basically kicked to the curb and had to find another daycare ( which in this market is near impossible). When we did secure a new daycare, I was told by that facilities administration that biting is common that that the faculty needs to take a proactive approach until the child stops rather than simply monitoring behavior. A year with the new daycare and my child no longer bites. My biggest complaint here is the management - a complete lack of communication between parent and administration. Having your child kicked out of a school in which they've bonded with other children and staff is heartbreaking enough - but having the additional indignity of not discussing the matter is the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. Your child is more than just a space occupying a space in a classroom.

Mom of 2 Jan 20, 2011

My oldest child has attended since she was 5 months old and now my younger child is there as well. It is an excellent child care option. My oldest is speaking Spanish and starting to read and spell quite well. She is excited to go to school every day. My youngest tries to get himself out of his car seat as we pull in. He is only 1.5 and in the 5 months he has been going he has learned to listen and follow simple directions, talking so much more, sitting in a group and clapping and singing. Both children's teachers are so loving and caring and really get to know the kids. They are there with passion and it shows in how happy my children are. We had tried 2 other places for my oldest before coming to Bright Stars at Water Babies and they didn't hold a candle to what we get here. Couldn't be happier with how well my children are doing.

Unhappy Sep 02, 2010

I tried to give this daycare a chance but I hate it for my child. Some of the teachers do a good job but the management is lousy. This is a place to take your child for the convenience of location only. If you are looking for a good education/learning center- try elsewhere.
