Beansprouts Early Learning Childcare Center - Freeport ME Child Care Facility

Lovely environment for my kids. I love this place. All teachers are good, friendly and very caring. I honestly speaking they will not disappoint you. I am giving 5 out of 5 to Beansprouts Early Learning Childcare Center and recommending to others. Thank you very much.

Me and my husband was searching a daycare center for our daughter. It was a very hard job. But after all we have found Beansprouts. The management team was very good, friendly and supportive. Previously I was worrying about the safety and security of the center but after visiting the place and meeting the team I was very much satisfied.

Very good child care in town. Very good infurstructures, neat and clean. Teachers are very good and friendly. I am very much satisfied with Beansprouts and my son is doing very good after joining Beansprouts. Thank you for the good works.

We toured several other facilities before looking at Beansprouts. The moment we entered the building we knew it was the place for us. The things that stood out to us was how clean and organized it was! Also, everyone was happy! There was a nice hum about it. Children were laughing, teachers were engaged with the children, and there was a calmness about it. They do have an extensive waitlist for all their programs so we had to wait until the new addition was finished before our child could start. We've been a part of the Beansprouts family for a month and we are so impressed with everything. The communication is excellent, the owner and Director are always available for anything we need, and the quality of care is so loving. We highly recommend Beansprouts!

Unfortunately the other reviewers hit the nail on the head. We didn't feel our child was in a safe and nurturing environment. While we loved our time spent in the infant room, as soon as our child moved up the teachers kept changing. There was no consistency and a lack of communication and professionalism. We really wanted to have our child be with the prek teacher, but we didn't feel the programs offered in the yearling, toddler and preschool rooms lived up to our expectations and personal values. Others may have had a better experience and I'm happy for them! Ultimately we didn't feel that the owner and director had control of the classrooms and had to do what we though was best for our growing family.

I don't usually write reviews, but I always give credit where credit is due. My daughter has been going for here for a little over a year and they have done a great job with her. She used to be very shy and withdrawn, but she started to fit right in with the other children. She also developed a great bond with one of her instructors and she feels more confident about herself now. I would suggest that any parent at least visit the facility and give it a try.

Currently, I have been employed, at Beansprouts for two years. I have a Bachelor's Degree, and over 15yrs. experience working in various childcare center's --in Maine. Some of the struggles, that I have had to deal with, at other center's-include head lice, child abuse,spousal abuse,and basic lack of communication and concern for employees. These struggles are Very, limited at Beansprouts. My employer's have been up front, honest and caring. My concern's for anything or anyone, have been addressed and resolved, in a fast and efficient manner. They have taken good care of me, my family, and my coworker's. Recently, some employees, made a choice to "Breach Confidentiality," by taking their personal issues, pertaining to their boss--- to families. "Breach in Confidentiality," is a serious problem, and was addressed immediately. I love this center and would recommend it to my friends, and family.

Working in the field of education for 15 years (childcare centers, home daycares, conference presentations and planning, school board member and chair for the Town of Long Island, additional college coursework, volunteering in public programs, and 12 of those years running my own business), I have visited and consulted in several centers in the Southern Maine and Mid-Coast area. When I interviewed for a Lead position at the school, I knew what to look for in a quality program and I found that at Beansprouts. From the moment I walked in the doors (beautiful environment and loving atmosphere), I have been (and continue to be) incredibly impressed with the program. The Owner and Director are one of the most supportive management teams with whom I have worked and seen working in the field. The team of professional teachers at Beansprouts has become like-family and I know I can count on them for ideas, support, and the professional courtesy that comes with working in the field of education. There are some things being stated in reviews that are not true and I'd like to correct that information: The Director has a degree in early childhood education as well as certification to teach in the State of Maine. The Pre-K teacher also has a degree and is certified to teach in the State of Maine and is currently applying to Master's programs in the area. The Toddler teacher also recently started her Master's program. Other teachers not only have degrees or CDA but also have years of quality experience to bring into the classroom. They are loving, caring, educated in the field and consistently show the dedication needed to continue making positive change in early childhood education in the State of Maine. I am very proud to be part of a program where respect, love, and quality are held as important when educating and working with young children.

I have worked at this school for 8-9 months and it is honestly the best school I have ever had the privilege to work at. The staff is not just comprised of co-workers but is a family built on love, respect, and some giant hearts. The children here are shown that they have the capability to create and become anything they can dream of. We work hard every day to teach them the building blocks of being a person of character, integrity, and intelligence. The entire staff and management not only teach these qualities every day, but they model them in an amazing way. It is a safe and happy place to work and to teach. Every child is so loved and respected and made to feel so at home and at ease. I plan on working hear for many years to come and am even working on getting my Masters of Education so I can even better serve my students and their families.

I would highly recommend Beansprouts to any family looking for quality childcare! The management team is kind, and professional, and they run a warm and nurturing school. All the children are treated with respect and love.

I cannot say this clearly enough - AVOID BEANSPROUTS. My child attended Beansprouts for almost 2 years. I was lucky that she mostly had good teachers during her time there who watched out for her, but all of the good teachers either left or were fired because they were reporting poor practices or violations of childcare center code. The owner was dishonest and lied to my face numerous times, and my child came home saying she was hurt by a member of the staff. For all the people who haven't had a bad experience, I'm happy for you, but there are a number of us who ended up having a terrible experience there. It is not slander for me to report my and my child's experience - just because you haven't had that experience doesn't mean that it did not happen. I cannot recommend that you send your child there. There are many better options out there.

My review below is accurate & honest-and just because some of you have had a better experience, does not give you the right to discredit mine, call it harsh or accuse me of fabricating! I invite you to call the DHHS for the truthful facts that were found on our experience at this facility, but don't accuse me of fabricating anything, especially when it comes to my child's well-being!

I came on this site to write a positive review about Beansprouts and in reading a couple of the unfavorable comments, I am completely bewildered as to why someone would fabricate such mendacious reviews. Sounds like we bring our children to two different places. Those reviews do not depict the same Beansprouts that I bring my daughter to. My daughter has been at Beansprouts now for nearly 2 years and she LOVES going there. My husband and I could not be happier with the care that our daughter receives. We have NEVER been concerned for her safety and if anything, the staff has been very proactive with implementing various safety programs. In addition to the wonderful educated staff members, Angela the owner is always available to listen and immediately addresses any concerns we may have. As far as the playground, in case you haven't heard, Beansprouts is in the process of securing financing to purchase the existing building and due to increased demand, will be expanding the existing building by 2,400 sq ft. to accommodate more class rooms, a Gym and revamping of the current outdoor play area. Matter of fact, while picking up my daughter on Thursday, the owner Angela and I came face to face at the door and she had flooring samples in her hand which sparked a conversation about the purchase and expansion. She said she expected to close the deal by labor day and break ground 2-3 weeks after. Thank you Beansprouts, including all staff, for truly making a difference in my daughters life. My husband and I are both professionals and appreciate the fact that we can go to work every day knowing our daughter is well cared for.

I'm so shocked by the negative comments regarding Beansprouts. I've been bringing my child there for the past 4 months and we sincerely adore everything about it. The owner is so kind and compassionate, she works hard to better Beansprouts everyday and my husband and I are so thankful for her. Beansprouts is a great choice for your family, I recommend it all the time!

Despite the previous comments on this center I have to disagree. I have sent my child to the center since day one, and although they do have some children that may be aggressive, so does every childcare center. The teachers do there best to work with the children and over time I have seen a change. Yes it is frustrating having your child come home hurt but you need to be understanding and realize not every child comes from a privileged household and it takes everything for teachers to try to control it while keeping all kids safe. I have seen a big change in this center and would recommend it to anyone who asks.

I have been involved with Beansprouts since they opened their doors. I was relieved to find such a promising option for my children. I am very involved at the school and I find the reviews on this site to be harsh and not accurately reflect the amazing work the teachers, director, and owners do every single day. They give it their all and do their jobs well. Children here laugh and play, they get hugs and high-fives, and are respected on a human to human level. I am proud that my children attend Beansprouts and highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Thank you Beansprouts for all you do!

Horrible place to bring your children to. Mine was severely hurt twice in the first 4 days of being there...by the same child (that they already knew had behavioral issues). They do not provide proper supervision or childcare, nor do they provide a safe environment like they promise. Look elsewhere!

Horrible place to work. They will cut your hours, while still hiring more people. They cut hours to try and save money but dont have enough staff to cover the child to teacher ratio. You will not be guaranteed full time. You will have to stay later than you are scheduled and they will cut your hours the next day to make sure no one gets 40 hours. Always hiring and firing staff.
