Happy Parent! Apr 18, 2014

I have 2 children that attend Back to Basics. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff, director, and the adorable children that attend. The children always seem so happy and are closely watched over by the teachers. The menu has evolved to healthier, more natural meals and snacks. The children get to get outside everyday that it is nice which is awesome! I am so happy with my choice in sending my children there and will/have recommended it to everyone!

I rated this daycare a 4 as I think there is always room for improving. I personally feel like the director has handled any of my concerns in a professional manner. I also feel that while there will be minor hiccups on the business end anywhere you go and not all decisions will be ones that I agree with, I do feel comfortable enough that I am confident mistakes will not be at the expense of my child. I believe my child is in very good hands, or else I wouldn't use this daycare. All staff that I have encountered have been great and have always seemed to truly be in the business for the right reasons.

I just love Back to Basics! I feel like I'm bringing our child to a very safe and loving environment! The teachers are wonderful. They truly love our child like it was their own. I feel comfortable leaving and never worried if he is being cared for. I really can't say enough about Back to Basics other then we are truly blessed to have them in our lives.

My grandson attends Back To Basics Child Care. I have seen significant change in him since he left his previous daycare and began going to Back to Basics. He is learning by leaps and bounds and is so very happy there as opposed to his previous school where he cried every day upon arrival. He is excited every day to go to "his school" and see his teachers and friends. My daughter speaks very highly of Back to Basics and I feel so reassured that he is now attending a school that not only attends to his needs but also cares about his entire family. It makes life so much easier when you know your chld/grandchild is in a safe, nuturing enviroment.

This daycare has gone beyond my expectations! I switched day cares when my son turned two, because his previous daycare was not providing quality care. They took him with open arms and he has received so much love and attention! He has recently been having some behavioral issues and they have been in close contact with me in addressing the issue, and he has already been showing huge improvement. I never worry when I drop my son off; it’s like dropping him off with family. My son talks about the teachers at home and is so excited to go to "school" everyday. They do great events for every holiday and go above and beyond. I drive 30 minutes every day, to and from this daycare. My home and work area is surrounded by daycares, but the drive is worth it. He has progressed so much. Its amazing the education he is getting, which I wasn’t expecting from a daycare. From the day to day contact to parent teacher conferences, you cant ask for anything better. Thank you back to basics for all the love and attention my son receives!

Love this daycare! Apr 07, 2014

My experience of Back To Basics is very different than Parent 1... thank God! My daughter has attended Back To Basics since she was an infant and is now entering the Three's Classroom. Her individual care has exceeded all expectations in just about every area. Under the Director's guidance, the center has grown and continues to grow on a daily basis. The director has always made time to hear my concerns, address them and remedy them to meet both of our needs. I looked around before selecting Back To Basics and there is NO other daycare in the area that is even in the same league. I highly recommend them, their learning experiences, teaching staff and their ability to treat my child as one of their own.

The Director poorly manages her staff. This poor supervision has resulted in a child left behind and staff was unaware of her disappearance for 35 minutes!!! Also, staff are unaware of developmental milestones, use punishment techniques on children not approved by parents, disclose confidential information to other families, and staff have poo lines of communication with parents. The Director/owner is more concerned about money than the children. They are closed for all long holidays (e.g., Christmas for 2 weeks), yet expect full payment for weeks they are closed. Teachers are not credentialed with most having no college education. The lead teacher in the 4/5s room favors her own son, yet the Director does not see this as a conflict of interest. Overall a very poor daycare, with better options in the area!
