Description:
Apple of His Eye Daycare is Church Sponsored Daycare. Our program provides a safe, caring, nurturing environment for all children six weeks to 13 years of age We believe that all children have the ability to be successful with the appropriate support system and we love to encourage all children to learn and play thus developing social skills as well as educational skills. We are a ministry based daycare seeking to help those who searching for affordable quality daycare without breaking the bank.
My Niece has her daughter there and I am very concerned with the childrens safety and the Staffs ability to care for the children. My great niece apparently had painting day which was not made known to her mother and whatever they use to clean her up afterwards has caused 3rd degree burns on one hand and 2nd degree burns on the other which now she has to have surgeries and skin grafts done and she is only 18 months old and now will have permanent damage to both of her hands. I am so heartbroken for her and her mother. You just don't think things will happen to your child until it happens and hen you can't believe that another person would be so careless with someone else child.
We started using this provider last year and I really love them. We have feel very blessed to have them as they have become like family to my children instead of just a daycare. I've always wanted my children to be at home with me but this is the next best thing. They call the owners Nana and Papa and all the teachers treat them so good I am so happy to have found this daycare.
We have been with this provider for several years with all of our children. Not only are they so caring but they are wonderful providers. The staff and the Director go above and beyond in making sure our children are safe and happy. The nursery room teachers take time with my child to not only follow through with my instructions but to let me know how my child did each day. I am well pleased and am so thankful for the care they take with my children. Miss Kathy in the nursery has become like a grandmother to all my kids as they have passed through from her room to the other classes over the last few years.
We only ended up having our daughter in this facility for a couple of months. I came to pick her up one day to the teacher giving her water in her bottle. I was told by the Director that the teachers had been giving her water in her bottle in between feedings because I wasn't providing enough breast milk. I was appalled by the lack of concern and communication. Although my daughter was not a small infant at the time she was around 7 months old and water toxicity is something my doctor was concerned with immediately upon hearing this. I was told by the Director that she had been doing this for years and never had any issues. We immediately put in our two weeks notice and have been much happier with the peace of mind having a provider that genuinely cares about the well-being of our child. If there were issues with my daughter not having enough breastmilk (which I ALWAYS made sure there was extra frozen and in their freezer) I should have been told!!!!!
I would NOT recommend taking any child there. There was another incident that occurred prior to this as well. When you bring your child in at 5:30 in the morning they immediately place them in a high chair (this being my daughters first daycare experience this was an extremely hard transition). There was a boy who had brought in something to eat with him. While putting away my daughters breastmilk the boy had placed a whole grape on her high chair. Upon returning to say goodbye I noticed she was chewing on something and immediately swept her mouth. I am very grateful that we had been doing baby led weaning with her otherwise I know she would have tried to swallow instead of chew.
