Inspection Date Reason Description Status
2020-10-20 Renewal 3270.32(a)/3270.192(4) - Comply with CPSL/CPSL information Compliant - Finalized

Noncompliance Area: A renewal inspection occurred at the facility and a review of staff files was conducted. The Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) states that a Department of Education (DOE) FBI clearance cannot be used in place of a Department of Human Services (DHS) FBI clearance to work in a child care role at a facility. Staff # 1 was hired on 6/10/20 using DOE FBI clearance dated for 10/15/19. Staff # 1 has worked in child care since their hire date without the DHS FBI clearance. The CPSL requires all staff to update their clearances every 60 months. Staff # 2 had a state police clearance dated for 3/5/15 and this clearance was not updated until 6/26/20, a child abuse clearance dated for 8/19/15 and this clearance was not updated until 10/14/20 and an FBI clearance dated for 7/23/15 and this clearance was not updated until 7/29/20. Staff # 2 had worked with children before updating the clearances.

Correction Required: The operator shall comply with the CPSL and with Chapter 3490 (relating to protective services).A facility person's record shall include a copy of requests for the criminal history record and child abuse registry clearance information, a copy of the disclosure statement and a copy of the completed clearance information required under the CPSL. Facility Person # 1 may not work in a child care position at the facility.

Provider Response: (Contact the State Licensing Office for more information.)
Staff # 1 is suspended until a DHS FBI clearance is obtained. In the future, all clearances will be obtained and updated as appropriate to the CPSL. Staff will not be hired using a DOE FBI clearance in the future and will only be hired using a DHS FBI clearance.

Since this staff's hire date was after 9/24/18, per the CPSL, this DOE FBI clearances is not a valid clearance for hire within the Department of Human Services (DHS). Staff # 1 was working and supervising a group of school aged children during this inspection.

BEWARE Dec 04, 2018

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE OR TO ANY OTHER OF THEIR LOCATIONS! You will be faced with tons of drama, teachers that hate kids and an owner and director who are having relations. Never in my life have I seen such a fiasco! They shouldn't even be 5 stars but the owner is doing illegal things to get it. Hopefully the state shuts them down.
