Stafford Technical Center is located in Rutland, Vermont. We provide technical education to area high school students and adults. Students from high schools in Rutland County (Rutland, Fair Haven, Otter Valley, Proctor, Poultney, West Rutland, Mill River, and MSJ) may choose from seventeen different full day programs. Many of these technical programs have articulated agreements, transcripted credit and dual enrollment options with Vermont State Colleges, which allow students to earn college credits while at the technical center. All daytime programs are available to adults in Rutland County without a diploma. These full day programs are also available to adults with diplomas on a space available basis. Most typically, adults choose to enroll in our adult evening classes for continuing education. Recently, Stafford Technical Center has partnered with Vermont Technical College in providing adult classes. Stafford Technical Center has been providing technical education since 1974. Over the past ten years, many things have changed in technical education and the programs that Stafford Technical Center provides. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, with personal goals ranging from college, immediate workplace, or apprenticeship.
