Cannon has two child development centers. The main center, 202 Olympic Blvd, is located near the Base Exchange and Commissary. The Chavez Center is located across from Allsups on Ranchvale Road. The Chavez Center is undergoing an addition/renovation project which will increase capacity to 168 children. The Cannon Center will receive a new building with a capacity of 158 children. Both projects will be completed summer of 2011. |

EPHS offers Early Head Start (EHS) services to a total of 70 children in Clovis, Portales, and Tucumcari. EHS serves babies and toddlers from ages six weeks to three years. It also works with expectant mothers. EPHS offers Head Start in seven communities, serving a total of 329 three- and four-year-old children. PreK serves 20 children in Santa Rosa. In addition to meeting the needs of children, all three programs help the families as well. |
