The Edith B. Jackson Child Care Program (EBJ) was founded in 1972 by a group of Yale University parents and faculty members in response to a growing need for quality care for children. EBJ continues today as a leading provider of high quality care and early education, offering the homelike atmosphere of small groups, excellent ratios, and low staff turnover. EBJ offers a 12 month calendar with full and part time care for children 3 months through 5 years. The individual groups are formed every September and stay together for the year. There are four groups: Ones, Twos, Preschool I and Preschool II, each with its own connecting classroom in the Whitehall Graduate Housing Complex of the University. Enrollment includes families from Yale as well as the surrounding community.
